Nantes have outbidded TFC and VA for the signature of Luigi Pieroni. The Belgian striker has signed a two and a half year long contract with Les Canaris this Tuesday. http://www.football365.fr/infos_clubs/nantes/story_147482_Pieroni-une-histoire-belge.shtml In the meantime Christian Wilhelmsson is off to join AS Roma on loan. He leaves Nantes after having failed to live up to expectations. http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/20070109_223000_01.html
Vladimir Stojkovic is joining Dutch side Vitesse on loan. The Serb goalkeeper was brought in to replace Mickael Landreau who had departed the club in the summer, but has failed to fill up his predecessor's gloves and gone down the pecking order. http://www.football365.fr/depeches/filinfo_148284_34_Nantes-Stojkovic-prête-a-Arnhem.shtml
They could use Lacombe now. Seriously, he built his reputation working with young talents in small budget clubs and I think Nantes could really use some of his mentoring experiences. Not to mention that he could help them avoid relegation.
things aren't looking good after losing 5-2 to Valenciennes. props to Savidan though for getting 4 goals (!) past Barthez.
Yes but he won't save Nantes all by himself. A few good signings will not be much of a help without an intellectual manager who can motivate players. How about these guys?
I am an american nantes fan. does anyone know a link to watch the game today???? its against monaco, and i think that nantes can get points
Barthez plunges Les Canaris deeper into trouble.. http://www.dailymotion.com/search/barthez/video/x1lvml_bourde-de-barthez
It's not looking good for FC Nantes Atlantique.Their loss against Saint-Étienne puts them into deeper trouble. They are currently at the very bottom of the table with only 29 points.
Players ashamed that Nantes was relegated http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx...0&lid=11&title=Nantes+captain+ashamed+by+drop
