Great save by Hirschfeld on Parks! Osieck blasting defense.

Should have been 2-0 there... A major whiff on a sitter at the 6-yd line by Costa Rica.

OH GOODNESS!!!! Parks just missed a golden opportunity to score off a nice cross from Castro. Canada's defense has yet to wake up.

Canada are living Dangerously, with a capital D. How many unmarked runs out the midfield are they going to allow?

And Stalteri scores a very, very nice goal against the run of play. Canada with some good one-touch play through midfield, the Tico defender misplays the through ball, it lands at Stalteri's feet, and he slots it home.

If Canada can hold on, they'll have stolen 3 points. Stolen.

Winston Parks = Jovan Kirovski, apparently.

Another dangerous counter for Canada. Game has really entertained in the second half. Almost makes up for that shiite 45 minutes in the first.

Was there really debate about who Canada's #1 keeper was? I've only seen Lars H a few times, but he's always been impressive.

Thank you. It was easy to figure out the translation for "nada" and "mucho" but I had no idea what "argo" meant...

    And there's the final whistle!

The 2003 Gold Cup starts with a surprise result as Canada takes advantage of horrible finishing by Costa Rica to win 1-0.
