So, LFR1881 is paying the same price, AND driving there and back. Still we are outnumbering you. This is going to sound like a home game for us.
This is the game that will determine, once and for all, who gets eaten first when the aliens come. If you do not pay to witness this titanic struggle that will forever alter the course of history, you will take it to your grave, but not before crying many bitter tears. Those who witness this clash will be able to tell people they were there. Those people will then say "What the hell are you talking about?" Ignore those people. This is for all the marbles, the whole shootin' match, the big enchilada, todo el mundo and the kitchen sink. Our very way of life depends on you. It's a Tuesday night in May and Tuesday nights in May mean one thing: early-round Lamar Hunt US Open Cup soccer. Well, early-round Lamar Hunt US Open Cup soccer and not-quite-the-end of The Voice on NBC. So two things. But this is even bigger than that.
Yeah Kenn, are you interested in an internship? Really hard to concentrate on work when you have various soccer chants running through your head.
I do not believe it is being webcast. But if it were, phoenixfc.com or fctucson.com or uslnation.com would be the usual suspects.
This is ridiculous. Is the 3rd keeper that bad? can't be worse than the 2nd one... why is he not playing?
I'm guessing we'll find out about Soriano (3rd keeper) later this season. That is the kind of mistake/game that can ruin a keepers confidence for along time. Congrats to the FC Tucson players, but that organization is a joke. In the order confirmation e-mail, they say the will call 'window' would be open at 5, but its didn't open till 6:30. I paid $16+ for a ticket and didn't have a place to sit for the second half. I thought about sitting with LFR, but decided to just stand behind the advertising boards. I also liked how they borrowed an American flag from the local elementary school.
At least PHX FC has MLS for spring training.... http://azstarnet.com/sports/soccer/...cle_b8000e99-625f-5871-aa83-18993a43035c.html But what do you expect when all of the employees are interns?
Decent value for my money. An enjoyable gameday experience. I don't blame FC Tucson for parents who let there kids run amok or ignorant fans ("Where's Donny?", "What color is Tucson?"), but I still can't figure out how that was a $16 ticket given the facilities and level of competition (3rd and 4th division teams). Maybe they'll use the money they made to install a proper flag pole and/or hire a new DJ.
I talked to the PA guy and the DJ in the parking lot at the end of the game. Its two new guys (same ones from the DDC). They said they're planning on bringing PA equipment from home to help with that situation. And just wait 'till next year. That's when we'll actually have a real flag pole, a real scoreboard (not a countdown clock), etc. I was shocked that they didn't have any beer men at the game. They usually make a killing. And the ticket price was $18.46 online or $19 at the gate, not $16 . #FreeTheDoopQuilt The Phillies train in Florida.
Yea, they do. But baseball bailed on Tucson. That's why you have MLS spring training. And that's what paid for your stadium. Enjoy.
We'll probably have some type of display honoring the White Sox's at the stadium grand opening. #FreeTheDoopQuilt
Yeah, that was odd. Compared to the Desert Friendlies, where they had about 16 Toilets, 4 didn't seem like enough. But yeah, at the new stadium, they're going to be permanent restrooms. #FreeTheDoopQuilt
I meant to mention this earlier, but both LFR and the Cactus Pricks were great. I think LFR was better with less people, but I am biased. Cactus Pricks were also in the far corner of the stadium making it hard to hear what they were singing, if anything. I didn't appreciate the few members of Cactus Pricks who were flipping off the Phoenix players and yelling F-Phoenix as the teams walked back on the field after halftime. If you are going to be crude, at least be creative and funny (i.e. The Tucson family song). The Tucson crowd really got into, albeit only after they were gifted a goal. I wish the Phoenix crowds would get into the games that much, but I guess that what makes rivalry type games so much fun.
