I find these ex-footballers as pundits rather lame and not providing much insight.

Managers seem much more interesting to listen to. Mourinho did some punditry back in 2018 I think and he came up with some great insights. He is washed as a manager but would make for a good pundit.

 

Henry is a great pundit. He also did that with Kylian and with what he needs to improve to play as a #9.

 

For me he says a lot of basic things that don’t provide much insight. And makes it sound like he provided something genius and incredible. Maybe that’s just me though.

I’ve heard that he was a fantastic pundit in Germany, this was years ago but that stuck with me. I’d love Klopp and Mou as pundits on a show instead of ex-footballers.

 

, I don't think Henry is that bad but you are right he speaks in a way and poses to make you feel like he spouting gems. sometimes i feel like he could be explaining how to eat an apple and do it in such a way that some people will AHH and OHH. but he does bring some insights and good points.
