Does anyone have an recommendations? I don't even know where to look and I have been needing to look into this. I have an external hd, but I need something away to be extra safe to protect files. Something in the 50?gb range to hold media (my pictures and videos, my biggest concern!) and files.
It's not much, and it is a year old, but arstechnica has an article on on-line backup solution that might be helpful. It's a start anyway, until somone with direct experience with this comes along.
I use megaupload http://www.megaupload.com/ The free accounts expire after a while, but if you want to pay for storage, you can. I would rather buy another HD...cheaper then buy memberships. If it's only pics/vids then i would store them on an new HD. Unless, you need to access them via the net. Or you can burn them to DVDs.
