Chris Leitch was benched today for Ryan Suarez, giving us another casualty, and making the Metrostars the third team to be totally wiped out.

And, Bobby Boswell got a yellow, so he may be suspended for the next game. Unsure of that.

I am pleased to learn we will be losing two more players:

Bobby Boswell is suspended for caution points (link).

Nick Garcia has been suspended two games for trying to elbow Know Cameron (link).

No changes tonight, so we're still at 14 players. But, in addition to the Boswell and Garcia suspensions, Jay Heaps picked up a yellow card and will miss the next Revs match. So after 8/6, we'll be down to at least 11.

Hendrickson was subbed off at halftime tonight, and we are down to nine, and only four field players.

    Borchers is in yellow peril.

This seems like a good place to add a brief comment about the Hex ... going into tonight's games, only 5 players had played every minute for their respective teams. Two of them -- Blanco, PAN (suspended) and Keller, USA (back in Germany) -- are unavailable, leaving just

    C.Salcido, MEX
    J.A.Torres, PAN
    D.Yorke, TNT

All three started tonight. Yorke seems to be a bit of a sacred cow; coming into tonight's action, he has yet to score a goal and has provided only one assist.

Sacred Cow? rflmao. I love that expression. That what happens when you're the only real superstar your country ever produced and you decide to come out of 'international abandon' when you realise that not even a second rate english club would want to pay your salary anymore. If you want to find out how sacred he is, figure that they named him captain although he didn't play before the Hex...

    About Yorke:
He drops deep for Trinidad and often makes himself the first outlet for defenders. He plays in the midfield, essentially. He's only a striker nominally and by reputation. I wouldn't read anything into his goals/assists numbers. Unfancied Trinidad are still alive, mathematically, and he's certainly helped more than hurt his team, wouldn't you say?

Back on topic...c'mon Parkhurst! Surely ROY. Surely!

In addition, Cannon has been subbed off. Exciting night. Now we just need Elliot to pick up a yellow...

It's unbelieveable that we'll probably get through the season with 5 guys playing every minute.

Indeed all five: Bo, dunivant, parkhurst, elliot and onstad finished regular without missing a minute
