its funny but I think Pieper should never have been used.

    97-Torunarigha, Uduokhai, K.Schlotterbeck
    98-Pieper

never played with any of them. Also K.Schlotterbeck got his 1st ever Germany call up with Olympics too.

that D is a mess is normal. Should have had Torunarigh and Uduokhai in XI in both matches but both matches Torunarigha on bench.

Ache continues to be immense and created great chance for Germany but Henrichs in 1v1 hits it wide.

Kruse didn't even bother for back post.

than Ache had chance to score but skies should have passed to Kruse.

Germany what are you doing should be 4-2.

How???? I had given up on them after the red card, but they seem to always pull something out.

So, is getting a red card part of the game plan???

No idea how these guys play, it's almost as if they've only been playing together for a week or so.:)

I do think not an amazing squad but result in both matches show that Germany could have been a lot more dangerous and more D stabilized had they been playing together for awhile instead of a 1-2 weeks tops.

Ache showing himself to be interesting if he can replicate that to club form and stay fit......

How many outfield players are ready for Ivory Coast game? Ridiculous. Maybe Kuntz himself should play as backup striker and Plogmann as backup CB.

France beat South Africa 4-3 and have concede 7 goals in 2 matches. Gignac scoring hat trick and assist too.

Spain beat Australia 1-0. Continues to show Spain struggling to score at all levels.

Argentina scored 1st goal of tourney from a CB and won 1-0.

    The winning goal came from.....

....a freaking corner!!! See, that will happen when you actually had a plan B i.e. deadball situation (Jogi never practice corner, it's all about possession after possession).

Stefan Kuntz: "The positive thing is that the team gives up the last grain before they give up. If even more players had dropped out, we would have been prepared. I won't be able to use all the substitutions in the third game either." Against Saudi Arabia, Marco Richter had to hit the pitch in the end, while goalkeeper Svend Brodersen warmed up to play as a field player.

    LMAO....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Ache seems like a good CF prospect for senior, when the team was down to 10 men he hold the ball like a seasoned veteran. Hopefully he'll do better against I. Coast.

Kuntz's boys may have had little to no preparation, but at least they have shown that fighting mentality that has been sorely missing from the senior squad over the last fifteen years.

in part to players where a lot of them playing/played for promotion/relegation fighting clubs mixed in with Kuntz being more old school mentally.

Kuntz knows what it takes to win a trophy as he was player in 94 and Winning Euro 96. That's benefit of ex NT players coaching next gen players.

Low has never played NT and seems to have done a LOT to hurt or change Germany into what its' NOT.

Flick has never played for Germany but its becoming evident that without him Low crashed hard.

Klinsmann (coach)+Low (assistant)=Low is real brain
Low (coach)+Flick (assistant 2006-2014)=Flick looks like played huge huge role

Low's other assistant coaches either suck or yes man.

Both Klinsmann and Low hired assistant that was better coach/smarter than them, lol.

Germany started to crash from 2018-2021 when CF issue not dealt with mixed in with back 3......our main strenght has always been that M domination.......

    Kuntz U21+Olympics show
    -necessity of mentality/never give up,
-Always CF in XI and CFs as sub options
    -no back 3 crap
-for U21 showed importance of dominating M in almost all matches

regardless of what happens at Olympics with this small and depleted squad that has only trained together for like a week.

He has killer speed and as you said. held up the ball well. His shooting seems to be a bit off - he could have done better with the opportunities he was given.
