I played Football growing up, American Football and basketball. I never played soccer, nobody played in Western PA at the time, there where ZERO teams. Then when I was about 28, I went to grad school at U of Pitt, these guys asked if I would play on their Greek/American rec league team, so I did, 1st game their goal keeper quit, so I volunteered because I wanted to use my hands, so little did I know I would play GK for like 70-80 games over 5 years. So OK, I did play some, some experience, better than nothing Then like 24 years later my daughter was 8 and she joined a soccer team, so I helped coach her the next 5 years, and then she made it to a higher level team, so now I just watch her play and the "real" coaches coach. She plays indoor and outdoor, fall, winter and spring. So now the last few years, I actually love to watch soccer too, I've become a fan after just glancing at it all my life. MLS, World Cup, UEFA... My favorite Teams: Olympiacos Pireaus, Greece (Europe) DC United (MLS) Baltimore Blast (Indoor) USA & Greece National Teams My uncle in Greece was an Olympiacos guy, so my whole family who likes soccer is too, I live in Baltimore so DC United and the Baltimore Blast are nearby, and sorry, I just can't get into the English Premier League. Of course, quality of play is the best, but I just can't seem to attach myself and really care about a team in an English city and wake up at 7:00 am Saturdays to watch. So anyways, at 56, being really OLD, soccer is like NEW to me now! I am really into watching it now, even with having little experience with it most of my life.
