    OH
    OK, I'll take:

    Roberto Carlos, def, Brazil
    Maniche, mid, Portugal

(dropping Macherano, ARG, and Huth, GER)

    My squad is now:

    G Lehmann, GER
    D Roberto Carlos, BRA
    D Juan, BRA
    D Meira, POR
    D Barzagli, ITA
    M Figo, POR
    M Maniche, POR
    M Schnieder, GER
    M Malouda, FRA
    F Ronaldo, BRA
    F Messi, ARG
    F Rebrov, UK

If the semis end up the way I think they will (Ger v Italy and Bra v Port), then I should be sitting pretty.

I've pm'd djangone since he picks right after me but I'll stick around until I finally doze off. I agree, Jay, let's go ahead.

Forza, don't forget to post this in the Metro transfers thread.

I'll go for Aimar. I'm laying my bet that France loses.

    Out: Makelele
    In: Aimar

I planned and planned what to do about the GK situation--three guys needed a GK and only two available. And then nobody goes for a GK. I could've taken Sabrosa after all, and I almost didin't get Saviola, worried that I'd be givin gup 6 pointers from the GK position as the games start to go away from attacker points and more for defender points.

    Bad tactics by both coaches

pekerman you left messi on the bench?

Klinsman you take schweinstagger and klose out are you kidding me?
what is podolski still doing in the game
how can you take out your aerial threat

I'll remove this awful goat from my squad and zig when Jay zags.

    Out: Abbondanzieri
    In: Lehmann

Unless he has a broken rib, Abbondanzieri has to stay in the match. By leaving, he left the match to Pekerman, who choked. He happened into a great match strategy against Mexico, bringing in Tevez and Messi late to scare the pants off the Mexicans. This time he leaves Saviola and Messi never having touched the pitch and loses the chance to clinch it.
