Warren out 57:50 DC -58th Minute. Foul Committed by 1-Doug Warren, 1st of match. Foul Suffered by 10-Andrzej Juskowiak, 2nd of match. Card Issued. We're dead right?
OMG, what the hell was Warren thinking? I've been wanting to see Geddes some more, because I've been impressed witih what little I've seen, but man ... I didn't want to see him in THESE circumstances. We'll see him in the Open Cup championships as well if we win this one. Sheesh, Warren really should've known better. Thank goodness they didn't score. -Digital
Let's see--Convey goes to A-mid. That's a move most folks on this list would like to see. Earnie goes to striker (replacing Eskandarian). Who goes out outside mid? Not Namoff--he's your defensive and D-mid reserve plus he hasn't shown a lot going forward. Chino has at least played that role.
Re: Warren out Who knows? I have faith that we can pull off a miracle. And it would take a miracle right about now.
If there ever was a situation for Convey or Stewart to step up, this is it. Too bad it won't happen. Sachin
Marvelous. Down a man. Relying on our third-string goalie who has never played a second for DC. If we make the final, Warren is out. Oh, and we were sucking even before that. Here's hoping for a miracle, and barring that, hoping that Chicago embarrasses the Metros in the final.
The Polish guy was in alone... Warren came out and challenge him. Tripped him, I guess and got the card. Sachin
Charged out of the box to challenge Jusowiak, who was free 1v1. As Jusowiak rounded him, Warren tripped Jusowiak. Foul outside the box = no penalty, but red for obstructing a clear scoring chance.
For all of Ray's boasting about our depth, he basically has thre guys on the bench who weren't coming in unless there was an injury or a card - Geddes, Stokes and Carroll. So because of the shortsightedness - either by poor drafting or not giving guys a chance to play more - of the coaching staff, we have a mediocre defensive midfielder playing left wing (I presume he's on the left) instead of a natural left winger, who we really don't know how he can play against MLS competition because he hasn't been given the opportunity. We also have Hristo. And could have had Marco, who I would not have minded seen coming off the bench.
Given 2 of the last 3 matches in this series, the team who has been down a man then came back to score to last goal (to tie and/or win). So I'm not ready to mail it in yet. Also, FWIW, Geddes played part of the second half against El Salvador.
Well maybe Hudson will learn something from this. We play Stokes and Carrol in the few games so they have experience and can actually help us later on.
Break Gay vara's leg. Please. That is the only redemption I see here. As for q2, what the hell is wrong with getting that kind of yellow. Stoich is in and I hope he is realy angry.
Alegria in for Stoichkov... Interesting. His presence can be inspiring or awful--things can't been much worse, we've got nothing to lose, so what the hell?
Marco didn't even make the trip. He stopped by work today. He seemed a little miffed at Ray. Said he pulled him out of Saturdays game while they were trying to put it away and mumbled something about tonight. Not a happy camper.
