You must be unfamiliar with Nowak and Adu to suggest that they would be paired together again. Aside from that, the only issue I have with your post is that we spell it Philly

Maybe if we replaced Freddy for Vincenzo haha yeah right no one knows what that kid is doing other than always working out and playing fifa then promising updates that will be more vague than the previous ones.

Re: The starting 11 you want to see for the Union(realistic)

The reason why i had adu was only b/c nowak has had adu in the past and adu needs somwhere to go to build confidence and develop more
Nowak v Adu thing is a bit ridiculous to me, i think they could work through it

Adu would also attract some more fans too, b/c he is very popular.....some of my "nonsoccer fan" friends know who adu is and dont know who donovan is.....

in response to the convey thing, Mapp and convey are likely targets and i would think both would start.....so since both are left sided players, just throw one on the right and have them rip some shots tuckking in with there left foots from the right side

    P.S.
Ebi Smolarek or Shevchenko, and btw for those who havent heard.....there has been a rumor on the net citing that the salary cap could go to 4 million dollars next season from 2.1 million(now) with an additional DP that does not count on the salary cap at all(along with the one that partially counts like the rule says now), who knows if thats true....but putting that into account this is pretty realistic, idk if the cap will go to four but it will go up somewhat

Re: The starting 11 you want to see for the Union(realistic)

Coaching him when he was part of a league wide publicity push is one thing. Wanting to coach him is something different. From the conversations that I have had, this is less likely to happen than a front line of Jesus and Santa.

I thought all your other suggestions were probable and agree with them, but you put (realistic) in the thread title and Adu playing here while Piotr is coach/manager is unrealistic.

Re: The starting 11 you want to see for the Union(realistic)

probable would have been a better term to put in it, Adu and orozco were more of me drinking beer last night than anything......lets say Adu doesnt come.....who would you guys think is a good possibility and a player philly fans would like at attacking midfield? Convey at attacking mid and bring Beasley in on the wing?

P.S....Ike Opara instead of Orozco on my original decision, philly has first draft pick and he would most likely be their first pick

I would get a foreigner for attacking mid and leave Convey out wide, even though I would prefer another option. I don't care for Beasley, people have figured out that his main asset, speed, has deserted him, so he has had to resort to his other strength, falling down.

dilly duka, vincenzo bernardo, andrew konopelsky, tony donatelli, jeff parke, and julian valentin are all potential targets for depth in the squad as well

    Z010

Deco's contract is up in 2010, there have been rumors of Clarence Seedorf and Patrick Viera.

If the DP rule changes this could happen, but if it doesnt(which for atleast the DP rule is more likely of the two) then who should they get up top that wouldnt be a DP?

i wish they were a little more proactive about it like Seattle was....i think they are waiting for the expansion draft to start on players

About the expansion draft, it's entirely possible that the Columbus Crew might leave Frankie Hejduk unprotected after his miserable season. Would any of you want the Union to take the risk and pick him up, or should he be passed over?

    good chilean attacking mid

evangel....Hejduk wasnt miserable, thats a little harsh, but he wasnt up to his usual standards either which is a sign he is finally slowing down
Its not the fact that he is bad, i think nowak is just going to play a 3-5-2 formation so Hejduk wouldnt fit into his system since he is a right back instead of a centre back
