hm, Navy was relegated to the 1st Div. but it reflect the real standing of Thai Football compared to Europe I guess.
In the meantime something changed in the schedule. On Channel 11 is Krung Thau vs BEC TERO and on TruSports is Thai Army vs Customs
The first two results I have: Krung Thai Bank vs BEC TERO 0:0 Royal Thai Army vs. Customs Department 0:2
It will be hard for BEC Tero, Chonburi FC seems very much stronger and get some more international players. But we got now some promising players... (Akawee for example) Think we can play the title next year, this year seems a bit early.

Sorry to corect you. It should be Bangkok Bank, not Bangkok Post. If I do lok at the results, the biggest surprise seems to me that Customs had won away 2:0 and Samut Songkham could get a point. @ FM 2005, from what I had could see today, I have to agree. I have been able to watch 2 games paralel today. And one was Krung Thai vs BEC TERO. Compared to Customs or Army, yes. They very much better. The Game was very much faster. But I was surprised, about the weeknesees of the goalies. But maybe I am too much spoiled, from Germany with their Goalkeepers. But dropping balls like I have seen today, oh my good.
Week One Report form Bangkok Post website: Krung Thai Bank and BEC Tero Sasana played out a 0-0 draw in the opening match of the Thailand Premier League at Chulalongkorn Stadium yesterday. Despite the uninspiring scoreline the game contained a moment of high drama when BEC Tero goalkeeper Sivaluk Tedsungneon managed a superb penalty save from Anon Bunsukho just before the hour mark. Elsewhere, defending champions Chonburi also played out a scoreless stalemate with Bangkok Bank at Chonburi Municipal stadium. Royal Thai Army lost 2-0 at home to newcomers Custom with goals from Wiroj Silaonn (44) and Suradej Thongchai (78). At the Thai-Japan stadium, Port were beaten 1-0 by TOT FC. Jakkrapong Jiesathawong hit the winner three minutes from time. Tobacco Monopoly defeated Nakhon Pathom 2-0 at the Thephatsdin stadium courtesy of goals from Noppol Pitafai (52) and Panipol Kerdyam (79). At Klong Chan ground, Osotspa M-150 drew 1-1 with Samut Songkham. Samut Songkham went ahead through Patcharin Suksai in the 14th minute but national striker Sarayuth Chaikamdee equalised in the 63rd minute. Bangkok University defeated Chula-Sinthana 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Suriya Domtaisong in the 75th minute. At Ayutthaya stadium, Provincial Electricity defeated Coke-Bangpra 2-1. Electricity took the lead through Pipat Tonkanya before Prachya Hongin equalised. Ronnachai Rangsiyo grabbed the winner.
Fixtures you can find nearly every where in the Thai Web. And so most probably only in Thai. Unfortunately.
Thailand Premiere Leage Leg 2 (23rd February 08) Bangkok Bank vs Port Authority Coke Bangpra vs Osotspa M-150 Nakhon Pathom FC vs Provincial Electricity BEC TERO vs Tobacco Monopoly Customs Department vs Krung Thai Bank Chula Sinthana vs Thai Army TOT FC vs Bangkok University Samuthsonkkhram vs Chonburi FC As I had to translate them from Thai I hope the schedule is 100% correct. According to True Visions schedule they will broadcast Chula Sinthana vs Thai Army 17:00 thai time, 11:00 CET I already requested a stream on MyP2P , if it is in the schedule I will post a link. Probably Channel 11 will also broadcast one game again. But again, I don't have any Channel 11 schedule. And one more information beside, I fear that we will be not able to see a Chonburi FC game so far, for the time beeing. Probably also valid for AFC CL games. First game and second game of Chonburi, was and will be broadcasted via Siam Sports Televison Channel NBT 19. Which is a new 24 hour statelite SportsChannel in Thailand. I not hope the have an exclusive deal with them. Would be realy a pitty not to see them live once.

Withe returning as adviser TOR CHITTINAND – bangkokpost.com The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) has appointed former national coach Peter Withe to help the kingdom in their World Cup qualifying campaign. The former England international will be adviser to the Thai scouting team to watch Thailand's opponents in the World Cup qualification. His first job will be watching Oman against Yemen on March 15. He will work with Thongsuk Sampahangsit who is on Thailand's coaching staff. They lost 4-1 in Japan in their opening match and will next face Oman in Bangkok on March 26. Officials believe the arrival of Withe will be useful to Thailand in their bid to reach the final qualifying stage for the World Cup. FAT secretary-general Ong-arj Kosinkar said Withe was a freelance scout and had done the job for his former club Aston Villa. Withe was popular in Thailand when he guided the country to the semi-finals at the Bangkok Asian Games in 1998 before being sacked in 2003. He was Indonesia's head coach from 2004-2007.
Asian Champions League Chonburi FC v Melbourne Victory March 19th at Supachalasai Stadium About 100 victory fans are making the journey going by our CEO report and hopefully some expats jump on board over there! Cant wait! Forza Melbourne HEY!
The Chonburi V Melbourne game should be a good one. I think it will be very tight, being played in the early stages. Friends of mine watch every Chonburi game, and complain to me about the defensive attitudes of opposing teams they play in Thailand, either at home or away, so this will be what they are certainly looking towards, a team coming to play Chonburi seem to find it hard to break down defensive teams, at this i'm talking about 10 men behind the ball for long majorty of the matches, they much rather like to play against teams looking to score, which i assume Melbourne will be looking to do.
Well, I think there are a lot Aussies in LOS, for holiday or living reasons. SO I guess that there might be few dropping by.
Sounds like Bayern Munich. But will Chonburi be able to compensate the loss of key players in the defense? I am talking abou the guys which have been transfered to ManCity.
Time well tell, personally i expect Melbourne to be far to strong for Chonburi in all departments. Just hope Chonburi can hold them to a draw and keep alive a dream of qualifying for the Quarter-Finals for aslong as possible. It's more of a dream than anything else, but wouldn't like them to get thumped or really out played. Suree Sukha will be missed, of course he can be replaced in the domestic league, but Chonburi will struggle without him in the ACL. I generally think the same for all the South East Asian club sides in ACL competition. None have done well see Thai Farmers Bank really, and they have folded. And now theres too much money and stronger leagues and teams around for many sem-pro South East Asian club sides to really compete. They can cause a surprise on their day, but its like a 15% chance on all occasions.
