I wouldn't be so quick to write off Ailton.

Very true. I think they are concentrating too much on offense.

As I said in my first line, don't be so quick to write off Ailton.

I believe Asamoah can do better if he can stay healthy.

However, Sand, while still a quality striker, is getting old. And he's proving to be no Martin Max.

If Kuranyi decides to move to S04, that changes everything.

Since they also loaned out Delura, I guess Hamit Altintop would have to become that spark off the bench. And that's a role I think he could play well if he's happy with it.

    Kuranyi

The transfer to Schalke was mentioned on Deutsch Welle today - seems to be a done deal.

Interessant. Ich bin in Heidelberg, Frankfurt und Wiesbaden aufgewachsen. Und anderwärts. Leider hab ich da nur Englisch gesprochen.

Aber das ist off-topic. Tut mir leid!

That's because the three cities house large U.S. Military Communities. Well, in the case of Frankfurt, it used to.

Even after the upcoming European drawdown, Wiesbaden will still have a large U.S. contingent. Heidelberg will be reduced, but still have some there.

No, none of this information is classified!! You can find it all on the internet! LMAO!!! :D

Sorry about the off-topic comments! :)

If you're talking about midfield, schalke has no problems there.
Poulsen, Kobiashvili, Altintop, Lincoln, and now Ernst. All quality.

The only question in that MF is Altintop...very inconsistnet IMO and young.

He will be good soon...but how soon? FOr you guys next year is important, I think Schalke has the best chance next year to pip Bayern.

    No real "creativity" there either.

Lincoln comes the closest, but he's more of an attacker. So are Kobiashvili and Altintop. Ernst and Poulsen are more defensive minded than creative.

    That's a problem.

I haven't seen where Kuranyi has made a decision yet.

I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch........

He was supposedly "surely going to Schalke" before this past season too.

I think we should wait for him to make it official.

That kid has mad loyalty to VfB. I'm sure their firing Sammer was done in most part to appease him.......

Spot on, you got it. I come from a military family. It's a shame they closed the Frankfurt base, I never got a chance to see my old apartment. Hopefully it's still there though. I gotta get back over there to see how things have changed.

Uh oh...must stay on-topic...umm...I'm glad Schalke got rid of those orange shirts. What were they thinking?

I could understand this feeling, the house where I was born was trashed last weeks, It`s a bad feeling.
Since a part of my life is gone.

Tomorrow at breakfast I would say one title they get.

Tonight (after some beer) they win all.

Really it`s hard to say, but I think between 1st. and 3rd. they close the national comp.
CL it's hard, when they've learned after the last CL disaster they stay long.
The DFB-Cup, it's a (game)daily business, first round or final, both lies directly in the line.

I'm rather surprised by the whole thing. I'm remember seeing a Kuranyi interview on Fox Sports World a year or so ago in which he said he wanted to play in a bigger league (i.e. not in Germany). Guess he had a change of heart.

Don`t have Fox here (ESPN Classic) but here I read only - and hear - that's the Schalke deal is perfect in the last weeks.

I must say that with the Kuranyi signing, I fear Schalke the most as a potential new Meister next season.

They are not undanger, but it's a new team.
    Must see how they play.
Last year they where forelast before they come up.
    They need time.
Faster and faster I like it , when they win next year a title I'm glad.
