Loser falls into the Eastern Division cellar.

In fact, an NE victory would give the three teams owned by Lamar the three worst records in MLS.

But who really cares when your Kansas City Chiefs are 3-0, right?

    Sunday's Match

I'll be there Sunday evening, in my Hejduk #2 National Team jersey.

By the way, can enyone explain to me precisely why this match is for last place in the east? When I saw the Crew here in April, they thoroughly manhandled the revs. Geez, what happened? I mean other than injuries. How can a team that looked so good be so, well below average?

Maybe we can lose this game in the middle part of the game instead of the last 10 minutes.

I'll be surprisingly optimistic about this one. A first for sure...

I'm thinking the Crew, with McBride and Buddle up top will get us two goals either themselves or most likely freeing up space for someone like West perhaps to be a hero (exploiting Heaps, probably, while Llamosa, Pierce and Franchino handle McB and B). I'll assume the Revs will get a goal, most likely from/set up by Ralston exploiting Denton and our left side. Hopefully Williams will introduce himself to Twellman like he did to Mathis. Kamler is suspended.

Probably won't be too exciting, but Crew 2 - 1 NE..

    I'm guessing starters will be:
    Jon Busch
Frankie Hejduk, Mike Clark, Mark Williams, Eric Denton
Ross Paule, Kyle Martino, Duncan Oughton, Brian West
    Edson Buddle, Brian McBride

Mais for Oughton perhaps... Duncan's suspended for yellow card points accumulation.

Seeing as we only have a few games left before he is out of contract, I wouldn't be surprised if he's in little hurry to be "fit" again.

I'm still willing to except that this whole injury is just a smokescreen for him to take some time off and chill out in Jaimaca or something.

Yeah MD, it represents the potential disaster of a loss, or the fact that we could be in for some more of Nicol's brand of "sexy football."

well, the season series is 1-1-1.
none of the games have been 0-0 "sexy football."
that probably means we're in for one.
another crew game on fsw that will leave us all either throwing stuff at the tv or asleep.

I agree, give him a shot. I guarentee if McCarty was in last game Richie Williams would have been hammered when they crossed paths after Williams foul on Martino. You can't really count on Oughton to do that. And our Williams already had a yellow card. This team needs a bit of toughness taht Mais and Oughton don't bring.
Also, I don't think you lose much quality at all bringing in McCarty instead of a less than 100% Mais. If their is anything lost in quality I think Chad makes up for it in energy and fire.

I say screw Denton that guy is schiite!
Line-Up gives us some needed muscle
to combat NE bone head thugs and speed
on both flanks not to mention the dangerous
    duo of Bake and Buddle!

    Chacon--Sub for midfield or Forward
    Garcia or Walsh--Midfield sub
Rich--for a forward to keep a big target up front.

Crew roll on with a hard fought 2-1 W.
    Buddle, Paule score.
    GO CREW!!

New England will be without Pierce and Kamler, I believe, but unfortunately still have Noonan who seems to have made Columbus his bitch so far.

Mais or McCarty in the D-mid and it's time for APC to start in A-mid and be replaced by Walsh. Kmart moves to a wing sub where he has more time and room. Our attacks picked up spped and diversity when APC entered the Mutts game. Kmat might get better, but not unti the fouls are called for him. APC moves when he receives the ball and is more difficult to defend. Schools out for the year.
