Actually...it's not legal in Utah either if you're referring to the Mormon faith. It'll actually get you booted from the Mormon church if you attempt to practice the old belief in polygamy.
Re: Andy Mead/YCJ I wonder if Harkes will do an epilogue to Captain for Life and Other Temporary Assignments and mention this. And Aimer is right historically...Reynolds v. United States in the 1880s ruled that freedom of belief does not equal freedom of practice and made polygamy illegal nationwide...and Utah had to renounce polygamy to achieve statehood. (from my lecture notes for HIST 211) Thus, if someone does have more than one wife, they're in big trouble a la Tom Green (not the actor).
Where's Waldo? That's correct--Utah used to be the place for polygamy but if they wanted to move along with the times and become a state, they had to renounce that. It's strictly underground nowadays. Utah sounds better than Deseret. Cheers!
uhhh there's still polygamy in Utah--I just watched a special about it on 20/20 like a month ago---there's actually quite a bit of it, but the Mormon Church is trying to get rid of it quietly...actually the story was quite interesting, it seems there's a power struggle within the church between the "old timers" and the more liberal members--that being said, can I marry Aimer AND Vero if I move to like Saudi Arabia or some such country? Any place left where you could have a harem?
If they were smart they would give up on the multiple wives thing and take up a "real" cause.....Allow beer drinking by Mormons!

I don't care for this but FYI. Graziani is married. I think Landon is dating a fan but I can't verify that so forget that. I can tell you a lot more but I'm keeping that etched in my head. If you get the chance to travel and watch the team on the road that will be the case.
