I knew I forgot something. x 9 I know someday you'll have a beautiful life. I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky but why, why, why can't it be, oh, can't it be mine? "This is so painful…I think we are all waiting for someone to wake us and say it was just a horrible nightmare… "And there are absolutely no words to express our anguish in regard to the parents and loved ones of these precious lives that were lost. "We have not yet been told what actually occurred, but it seemed to be random and sickeningly quick…it doesn't make sense. "When you agree to play at a festival of this size and reputation it is impossible to imagine such a heart-wrenching scenario. "Our lives will never be the same, but we know that is nothing compared to the grief of the families and friends of those involved. "It is so tragic…there are no words. "Devastated, "Pearl Jam" 5 years ago, yesterday (6/31). It's still 6/31 somewhere in the world though. Chicago and Dallas and all points west. As a tribute, i'm listening to the first rehearsal of Black from pearljamlive.com

There's a track list floating around in cyberspace (possibly multiple lists), however has the real one been released? The answer [result]is fake. The real tracklisting is yet to be released.[/result]
I know some of you have missed this little thread, hell you've probably forgotten about it, but WE HAVE NEWS! As you know, they've been in South America (http://bootlegs.pearljam.com), Canada before that, and they're going to Australia. It seems weird that they're going there and they haven't been to Europe since 2000, but things have weird ways of working out. I guess they really liked Australia. So if you want to plan a vacation to the land down under, do so towards the later half of next year. (Heck, you'll be in Germany in the summer, just make a stop in Australia if things work out that way.) Oh, you want more? Did I say something about news? Yeah. I think I can deliver some holiday cheer around here Pearl Jam style. It should arrive in mailboxes in early February (a bit longer if you live outside the USA.) And we have a tracklisting: [result] Side A - Little Sister (with Robert Plant; live at HOB in Chicago) Side B - Gone (demo version)[/result]
10 Club Thanks for the reminder. I got my renewel notice email the other day, but couldn't do it at work because of a cookie blocker of some sort. Q
Recognize this? Here's the original thread, along with directions to find it, if you're ever out in California. It's about halfway between LA and San Jose.
http://www.tenclub.net/images/2005xmaslayout.jpg There's the 2005 artwork. Really huge image, so be warned.
Been a long time without an update, so here's one. If you haven't received your single yet, they've been sent. Postmarked from Portland, Oregon, they should hopefully get to your mailbox by the 28th. That's my best guess. Obviously, if you're a 10 Club member who lives overseas, wait just a bit longer. Also, the site (www.pearljam.com) and store are undergoing maintenance. So, they might be down temporarily. Also if anyone sees this in the next hour or so: Go to www.RadioFaction.com, and clicking the *LISTEN* button for a free three day trial. Ed's on there talking with surfer Kelly Slater.
I got my single today. Also, this is from the Pearl Jam forums: I was recently working on a great Guacamole recipe for an upcoming Chili Cook-Off and got a visit from a little birdy who told me that Ten Club members should make sure their dues are paid and check that all addresses are up-to-date. You can manage your membership information by logging into your profile on www.pearljam.com in the Goods section. And - if someone's not a member yet, why not? It really is a good deal, ya know? Be ready for News, luvs. Love, Kat and Sea Apparently Tim Bierman said something similar two weeks ago. And it is also a week until March (which, according to some people features the new album release.) There's also a lot of rumblings about March 1st, more specifically at noon, Seattle time.
May 2!!!!! http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/pop/261327_pearljam02.html you can listen to a clip of the first single "World Wide Suicide" here http://www.fmqbproductions.com/epks/2006/pearljam/download.html

May 2nd! And rumors say it's the best stuff in a long time. I haven't heard anything about Boom, but it sounds like he's back as well.
The music hasn't declined so much as Vedder's lyrics. Anyone can write the song, "George Bush is bad because...." It takes something far more graceful and subtle to really make you feel like the world might end. The above track listing doesn't give me a lot of hope that the lyrics will return to their glory days of vs. and Vitalogy. I don't know, maybe it is just me. Q
http://beta.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=4C2189027504BAB6 World Wide Suicide (full song) I like it. I hope the whole album isn't in this vain but it's good.

I wonder if this is Sat-May-27 or Sun-May-28. I was thinking about flying into Philly to see a couple of Phillies games and a PJ concert.
http://www.pearljam.com/ The website has also changed. Also available is a completely FREE AND UNRESTRICTED download of World Wide Suicide. (Note, some others have radio chatter or other noise at the end.) I've also analyzed that email and it looks like 10C members don't have to buy two tickets, but rather can just buy one. "Pre-sale tickets are a first come, first serve opportunity and ticket limits do apply." Assumedly, because we don't have to buy two tickets this time around, people with higher numbers -might- get better seats. Of course, 50 people might buy 50 tickets, or they might buy 100 tickets. Maybe us late comers have a chance of moving up a few rows? This will be FUN.
That article is old. It appeared in today's Columbus newspaper, and I heard the single last weekend, ripped off some radio station. http://tenclub.net/tenclub/10Ccontact.php -- Note the new TOLL FREE hotline. The old one (local area code) was hopelessly out of date, so they took it down. Also with a new website, apparently comes a new lyrics policy. All official lyrics are finally released on the website as well. So I just realized what..exactly...this...means... Yellow Ledbetter song information. -- Sacred Ground.
I felt the earth on Monday It moved beneath my feet In the form of a morning paper Laid out for me to see Saw his face in a color picture I recognized the name Could not stop staring at the Face I'd never see again It's a shame to awake in a world of pain What does it mean when the war is taking over? It's the same every day I heard my name Why can't they say that The world be left to hold her (Begin Chorus) The whole world World over It's World Wide Suicide (End Chorus) (Repeat Chorus) Medals on a wooden mantle Next to a handsome face That the President took for granted Writing checks that others pay And in all the madness Thought becomes numb and naive So much to talk about And nothing for us to say It's the same every day And the wave won't break Tell you to pray while the devil's on his shoulder Laying claims to the tainted soldier said I'm not a quitting The truth's already out there (Chorus 2x) Looking in the eyes of the fallen You've got to know there's another Another (this line 4x total) waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy It's a shame to awake in a world of pain What does it mean when the war is taking over It's the same every day And the wave won't break Tell you to pray while the devil's on his shoulder (Repeat chorus thee times) The whole world World over It's World Wide Suiciiiiiiiiiide
