OK so we lost last night vs Chicago but we played a spirited game for the most part and especially the last 30 minutes... despite fatigue, lots of injuries and playing 9 games in 33 days...including the two Open Cup games and the Barcelona game... that is a game every 3.7 days which is quite a lot... Down the home stretch starting today 9/4 means there will be 7 games (4 of them at home and two of the road games are close by at DC+NE) in 40 days which mean a game every 6.8 days. The Bulls will now have time to get some rest and recover from injuries and will hopefully come out energized to win these games. Plus Bruce who has now had about a month with the team will be able to tweak it enough to get us into the playoffs...
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa Clint Dempsey's flying elbows vs. Dema Kovalenko's flying cleats..... Time to make a phone call...
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa Ives G on the Chicago game he also says the Schopp deal has been finalized and should be available for Saturday's game vs the Revs http://northjersey.com/page.php?qst...lRUV5eTY5ODc4NTcmeXJpcnk3ZjcxN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa From Ives article: "According to team sources, Schopp's move was temporarily delayed by the Austrian Soccer Federation, but he is now simply awaiting a meeting with the Austrian Embassy in the United States before officially becoming a Red Bull." He still has another meeting? Doesn't sound like it's all done yet. Seems like having such a meeting shouldn't take so long, but then none of this should have taken so long, so I'm not ready to say he's ready to play for us yet. Until I hear that EVERYTHING has been taken care of then I'm not going to get excited about the prospect of seeing him on the field.
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa The key word in Ives quote is "simply"... It is a done deal CRSvideo... Hopefully we will see him on Saturday and see if he was worth the wait...
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa If he is ambulatory and Henderson is on the bench, it was worth it
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa Right Tom...Even if Schopp has one good leg and Hendo is on the bench, then it was worth it
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa But he is in europe right now, right? get his arse back here to the embassy people in the US he needs to meet with and get this done. I say pay him a per game salary and maybe he gets back here.

Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa 3-1 Bullz Woly ,Schop!!!!!!!x2 Man I feel for the Revs next year they will probably lose Joseph and Dempsey to Europe, and Twelman maybe.
Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. NE Revs 9/9 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match threa Twellman is definately going to move. He's got a new sponsor this year.
Last time I predicted a score I said I would do reverse psychology on myself and that Real would beat us 3-0. That worked out well, so I say the Revs thrash us 3-0 with a Taylor Twellman hat trick.
Thanks Flyin' .... Here are more thoughts from El Bruce on the Bulls.. http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/article.php?article_id=6975
I respect Dempsey, and all. I don't see Deuce or Joseph playing at their best knowning their going to Europe
This is not a must win game, so the chances of us winning it are 50:0:50. What I will predict is that we will dominate the mid field for the first 20, then from 40 - 45, then again from 75-90. If we get first goal, we will come out of this with either a 2 - 1 or 2-2 result. If they get first goal, we'll come out of this with a 1-1 result. Unless, of course, Youri, Wolyniac and Buddle all start. Then, no matter how long any of them last, the result will be 2-0, with Guevara getting at least one beautiful assist. My prediction for starting lineup: -------- Meola ---- Wynne - Parke - Mendes - Dunivant --------O'Rourke------ Kovalenko-----Guevara--- --------Djorkaeff ---- Buddle ---- Wolyniac Vide will sub for Djorkaeff at 60, but will switch positions with Amado. Cila or ? will sub for Buddle in 75 if Buddle hasn't scored. Blake Camp will be subbed in at 92 if we are winning.
I'm predicting, not necessarily saying that I'd play this lineup if I were coach. BTW - Be glad that I'm not coach!
