I've been picking up on some of the nicknames of US MNT players from watching the training videos on ussoccer.com. Can someone please lay out a list of each player and his nickname:

    Adu, Freddy: ?
    Beasley, DaMarcus: Run DMB, DFB
    Berhalter, Gregg: ?
    Bocanegra, Carlos: ?
    Carroll, Brian: ?
    Casey, Conor: ?
    Cherundolo, Steve: ?
    Ching, Brian: Chingy
    Conrad, Jim: ?
    Convey, Bobby: ?
Dempsey, Clint: ? but he REALLY needs one...or is he now officially "deuce"
    Donovan, Landon: LD, Landycakes :(
    Gibbs, Cory:?
    Hahnemann, Marcus:?
    Hartman, Kevin: El gato
    Hejduk, Frankie: Dukes
    Howard, Tim: Timmy Howard
    Johnson, Eddie: EJ
    Keller, Kasey: ?
    Klein, Chris: ?
    Lewis, Eddie: ?
    Mapp, Justin: ?
    Martino, Kyle: ?
    Mastroeni, Pablo: ?
    Mathis, Clint: Cleatus
    McBride, Brian: McHead
    Noonan, Pat: ?
    O'Brien, John: ?
    Olsen, Ben: ?
    Onyewu, Oguchi: Gooch
    Pearce, Heath: ?
    Pope, Eddie: ?
    Quaranta, Santino: ?
    Ralston, Steve: ?
    Reis, Matt: ?
    Reyna, Claudio: ?
    Rolfe, Chris: ?
    Wolff, Josh: ?
    Zavagnin, Kerry: ?

I'm not suggesting every player should have a nickname. I'm just curious if anyone knows any names that the players go by. I think being able to call out a players nickname at a US Nats match, such as Gooch or Dukes, is more encouraging and supportive for the player.

    That's awesome.

For Dempsey, I'm thinking "Let Loose the Deuce"...I guess that only works if he's on the bench though.

Hejduk used to be called "Bro," apparently from his penchant for calling everyone in the world by that name. I guess he can't ever remember anybody's name.

Steady Eddie has actually been used quite often for Eddie Pope.

I've seen McBride referred to as "McHead" on occasion...

    Carlos Bocanegra-Boca, Los, Charlie Blackmouth
I think his friends call him Los, the other two are BS nicknames

    Ralston-Rolly
That's what the other players call him. It's not pronounced like roll but like RALston

    Cherundolo-Dolo
that might just be a BS nickname

I always hear players call Wolff, Wolffy

    Mastroeni-Mastro
That might also be just a BS nickname

By "official", I meant firmly established such as "the mail man" for Carl Malone or "the babe" for Babe Ruth....as opposed to, "my friend and I call Landon Donovan 'Super Donovan'.
