Well, no I don't. I understand exactly. Y'all will have very nice grass after the Nats vacate. But, RFK will still be craptacular as a stadium. RSL will have a complete soccer specific stadium to rival any in the nation, and no longer playing on plastic. I'm sure your grass will be very nice. Your fans will still be ill-served by the stadium.

I love RFK. It's old, and smelly, and falling apart, but it has more history in it (in several sports) than almost any other venue in the country. I've been going there for games for many years. No new stadium has that atmosphere, and I've been to all of them.

I'll be jealous when you get a new stadium, but I'll laugh at your plastic 'grass' until then.

And I'll be sad to leave RFK when (if) ever we get a new stadium of our own.

Projected opening dates range from early august 08 to just after the 08 season closes. They definitely play 09 in that stadium.

I think you meant to say that we DC United fans will be laughing at you when you are crying while watching your team try to "play" in their new stadium.
