It is for today. Damn this is a good thread to wake up to.

But lets keep it civilized and a little humility (when did I think I can ever say that for our NT?) would be nice too.

congrats to china. finally got the monkey off your backs. I think Korea underestimated China and the Chinese players wanted to win more from the start.

I was really impressed with China last nite. They showed pace and teamwork -fluidity. Whereas korea lacked all forms of teamwork whatsoever, and their defense lacked.
    China's defense was top notch.

I do feel like the players underestimated the Chinese, where the Chinese NT players showed determination to win from the start.

I'm disappointed in Korea. Even though the lineups these past games were experimental, if our sub players are struggling now-how the hell can they do good @ the WC.

obviously he has been tracking korean football for a long time. your dear chinese socks wont waste time watching korean friendlies.

i even doubt chinese socks would even bother finding live-stream and watch k-league. never seen them in chinese stream. even there is. most chinese wont waste time to watch it.

ahhahha. maybe he is not koeran. but i think he is definitely not a chinese troll either. but seems to me he has significant knowledge of your football, and he knows less or none of chinese football.

this post was when he was asking who scored the third goal. he doesn't know $hit of chinese football

that was referring to china in our post. lol would a chinese sock rather be quiet than calling his own country sh!t

maybe he's not korean. but he is DEFINITELY not a chinese sock
what other logic you want dude?

Honestly, this is no big deal to South Korea; we all know they have a strong team and that the one fielded in this EAFF tournament definitely wasn't their best team. So to all the Korean supporters suddenly getting all defensive, just relax (no one is calling out your e-penis).

For us Chinese NT supporters, this is more a relief than anything. It was more a psychological hurdle that the Chinese NT had to get. Chinese football is "weaker" than both SK and JPN right now, but people who ridicule us and make us sound like India are being a bit too presumptuous; a win against Korea would come sooner or later the difference in skill is not as great as say Cambodia or something.

Anyways, the win is a good New Years surprise to say the least.

China stun Korea 3-0 [IMG] [IMG] Wednesday, 10 February 2010 21:55
TOKYO: China caused a major upset by defeating defending champions Korea Republic for the first time in 32 years on Wednesday, with a 3-0 score line at the four-nation EAFF (East Asian Football Federation) championship.

China, with four points from a win and a draw, now lead the round robin competition, ahead of Korea on three points, Japan on one and winless Hong Kong.

"I'm really happy, as the coach, that we won today. We prepared for this game very well and we proved what we've done was right," said China coach Gao Hongbo.

"There are two keys to the victory -- first we controlled the game really well mentally. That resulted in an early goal. We were never flat footed when we faced a Korean counter-attack.

"Secondly, my players did our tactics very well, especially captain Du Wei and forward Qu Bo. They understand my tactics very well. And we had luck as well in scoring three goals," he added.

The Chinese men needed only five minutes to score the first goal when Qu Bo sent a cross from the right, allowing midfielder Yu Hai to knock a header into the net.

In the 27th minute, midfielder Yang Hao snatched a Korean ball and produced the last pass for Gao Lin's goal.

China made it three up when midfielder Deng Zhuoxiang exchanged a pass with Qu Bo into the area and beat three defenders to fire a shot in the 60th minute.

The Chinese, who won the championship in 2005, displayed solid defence and rarely allowed the Koreans to send a cross.

The biggest threat came in the 68th minute when Korean skipper Kim Jung-Woo hit the only shot from close range almost into the Chinese goal as goalkeeper Yang Zhi came out to save it.

But defender Rong Hao narrowly cleared it and the ball hit the bar and bounced back onto the field.

Korea coach Huh Jung-Moo put the defeat down to the fact he had used several players who had never played in combination with the others before. He said he needed to see them play before the World Cup in June.

"It will happen sooner or later," Huh said of his country's first defeat by China in 32 years.

"I was disappointed, but the level of the Chinese team has improved a lot, for sure. Overall, we were not in our good form."

"We defended too much. We should have attacked more. But we lost a goal too early and we were never able to gain the momentum. We also lost chances of counter-attacks," he lamented.
