1-0 Walker with the goal. Crashed my audio.

    The ref's are:

    Center Chapin, Andrew V
    Turner, Mark
    Burak, Daniel A
    4th Kadlecik, Mark

I'm not up for starting another thread.

2-0 Walker from Guppy off a free kick as I was typing. 21st minute. Lizmari said the foul before should have been carded but Chapin was on "friendly" ref detail.

    Thx,

    Jay!

(in match and post-match since an audio-only exhibition probably won't generate that much traffic)

Anyway, it looks like Jamil Walker knows where the goal is tonight.

I'm surprised that Boswell, and both Carroll and Simms (thought one of them would sit), got the start.

(and someone started another thread while I was typing this one; merge away)

Great. I'm loving this. I'm one of the guys who think that Walker is not useless and may turn out to be VERY useful with all of the competitions that DC United is facing. Maybe a nice game like this will get his confidence up.

Jamil is getting practice scoring on the A-League because that's where he'll be next year...

As said in the other thread, I'm really surprised that both Carroll *and* Simms got the start.

A lot of ball seems to be going through Guppy; glad to hear him active.

Did anyone hear the full lineup? I didn't catch the defenders, other than Boswell.

The jock rock in the background is awful. Worst American sporting innovation ever.

The D's are Kukendall, Boswell (yep), and ----? Walker and Nickell up front, Guppy, Adu, Carroll, Simms and Thompson in midfield, I think. Right back is a mystery.

    Thompson is playing defense.

Correction: Kuffour is in the midfield and Thompson is the mystery back (I think). BTW, if correct, this means Thompson has played forward, wing
midfield and ouside defender, and Kuykendall has played several midfield positions and outside defense. This flexibility has to help them in the future. On form, judging from reserve team games, Kuykendall may have won himself a chance to be the next "B" team player to make the pitch in a "real" match.

That looks right, from what I've heard. But is weird, nonetheless.

very weird, but hey, that's who we have available.

"Coach, you only have one healthy defender for tonight's match."

"Hey Thompson... you're tall, go play defense."

Stokes I knew about; didn't know Arena was hurt.

Merritt? van Sicklen? Thompson I thought was a forward. Oh well.

Guppy and Walker have quite the finishing combination.

Too bad it's been against Harbor View and Rochester.

Are you sure it's Gus Kartes? It sounds like TL is saying Carter-Oleotis (or something vaguely like it).

not positive. Though it's much funnier if it's kartes! Who "someone" stated "is the best US player - even better than Donovan!"

Andrew Lloyd Weber just had a great kicksave (shot by Mauro Carbajal?). At least it looked great on my audio.

Eric Quill is coming on for Guppy.
