I remember him playing one of the last two tourneys in Argentina (for Racing). I think this year he played for Barca, in Ecuador...(LIbertadores Cup and such).
I thought he had been loaned out to Barcelona of Ecuador, but does the league still own his contract? Hopefully someone will be able to answer that. I am starting to think that I would rather have Graziani than Palencia starting at forward, with the use of the other SI on a superior defender.
Most all L.A. based MFL fans know this too! He may not draw the crowd Vergara is probably hoping he will.
I thought Graziani was with Lanus... Plus, Pique, not to offend, but Diego Gutierrez is a MUCH better player than Orlando Perez or Francisco Gomez. Gutierrez scored KC's goal this past wknd. against Dallas and is having a terrific season. I would think Chivas USA should take him in a second. Burciaga's another one you guys should be looking at. He's been hurt much of his young career, but he's got the skills at a D-mid type position. Great passer and distributor of the ball. Don't forget that you could bring in that forward Gustavo Figueroa of Aucas in Ecuador and he wouldn't even cost you an international slot--he was born in California. Finally, Ramon Nunez is a terrific young Honduran-American player languishing with the Burn's English-style (and ineffective) team. Certainly worth a shot. These players ARE out there, but you have to scout the league even more thoroughly than anyone else. Buena suerte!
Yes, Diego is a very good defender. He should be the "defender of the year" if the season ended today. He is that good. Your probably right, he should be picked up by Chivas USA. Ramon Nunez would fit ok with Chivas USA, but I dont understand why he doesnt get PT with the Burn. Burn are in last place and he still doesnt play, that doesnt seem right.

One name I haven't seen mentioned yet is Raul Palomares. He is from Los Angeles and played on the same U-17 team as Donovan and Beasley. He is playing in Europe now for NK Zepke of Bosnia. He has been overseas for a while but I wonder if he'd be interested in coming home.
Kaiserslautern, actually. I think he went to Croatia before Bosnia. As for what the hell he is doing in Bosnia, I think this thread should clear things up a bit: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57812
In the Boston Globe, they seem to think Zuniga will be with CHivas USA as well. FWIW, they also mention Hernandez. http://www.boston.com/sports/soccer..._adding_a_kick_to_the_international_game?pg=2 "Francisco Palencia, Ramon Ramirez, and Martin Zuniga are expected to play for Chivas USA in MLS in 2005. Former Revolution defender-midfielder Daniel Hernandez, now with Necaxa, is among the potential recruits." (on 2nd page)
No one has mentioned this, but if Chivas USA wants to try and stick to the Hispanic hiring policy, there are good A-league players out there who would be passable MLSers: Byron Alvarez, Jonathan Bolanos, Jonny Torres, etc. These players would certainly be good enough to hold down the fort for a year or two while the club stabilizes itself and starts to add players from the youth ranks.
Long-time back-up keeper to Oswaldo Sanchez ... says here his nickname is "The Octopus." http://www.mediotiempo.com/jugadores/jugador.php?id_jugador=440
Oh ok thanks but I remember another guy playing against America in the last tournament (because Sanchez was unavailable)?
I don't see how he couldn't be. The Bosnian league only averages 2,508 per game. Even though its europe the money can't be much better, if at all.
I think that it would be a real measure of performance if chivas US brings in a back-up MFL Keeper as a starter in MLS.
aside from speculations, chivas USA has: .............zuñiga kjkjijk?............kjkj?...........//.,mlkjl? ramon ramirez- paco palecia ....daniel Hdz forwards?
