Tough one.I don't know how Australia will see this qualif. phase,so if they play with a B or U-23 team we have chances.Aginast Bahrain, what I saw from the game against T&T was enough to see that Lebanon can beat them if we play like against S.Korea at WCQ.Kuwait would be the hardest team if they play with full force with Australia...

It'll be difficult, but draws against teams away can ge us a shot...and a travel from Beirut to Australia will f*** our team, lol.

Australia will play their first game in Bahrain without the majority of their players. Bahrain is not an easy game - especially at home. I still think Australia will prob. finish top of the group, but since we only just got ahead of Solomans in Honiara, none of these games in Middle East can be considerred easy.

I read that the players will be playing in all the away games because the middle eastern countries are only 5 hours away.

There are CL/ cup games on the same time, so there goes all players involved in Europe (Viduka, Schwarzer, Kewell, Kalac etc) plus since it is not a sanctioned intl date the teams do not have to release their players, eg I can't see Moyes letting Cahill play.

Goddamn why China have to travel to the war zone? What if the players get kidnapped or be "mistakenly" shot by the stupid US troops?? :(

No, I don't think so. We should win every game easily - nothing less should be accepted. That said I fear we will have a very understrength side.

    Won't drop a point. :)

If Aus does win its going to be very very tough and Bahrain is going to play the better game.

No one called em world beaters, its just(as you mentioned) they are a decent side, and I have a feeling Aus is going to underestimate them and they are going to sting them.

Bahrain is a second tier Asian team, whilst I'm not going to say Australia is top, we would be first tier, equal to Iran, Japan, Korea and the Saudis. I think the only game we my drop points for is away to Bahrain and only if too many of our players are unavailable, we will be far bigger favourites in Aus though and still finish top of the group.
