I've watched just about every Celtic game this season, you have to play furuhashi up top. He is different class, his movement is incredible, probably the best forward I've seen for Japan since I've started watching the national team. On the wing he hasn't been as effective, but up top things happen.

Well, Asano starts. I think Gaku will have that good match that he makes once in a while. Kamada has the quality to decide the match today

I have a bad feeling about this game but let's hope the players would surprise us! Ganbatte!

How can you mess up a breakaway like that? FFS, that was begging to go in the back of the net.

edit: Was that Osako? He's shite.

lol, it's better than watching him placed on the wing or something. And Osako already scored a goal in JLeague last week in his 6th game so his appearance is obviously justified.

Shibasaki is atrocious. At the start at least he wasn't disappearing, now it seems he realised how bad he is and vanished completely. At least both CBs, Endo and Kamada know what they're doing with the ball. And watching clueless Asano on the wing is painful.

Considering Moriyasu decided to start with 1 player less, Japan did ok in the first half. Actually Asano hasn't been as horrible as usual, just not any good. Still, starting him here should be grounds for dismissal. Shibasaki a bit careless at times.
Another problem is Minamino on the left, you want him in the middle, right behind or even besides Osako. Problem is Kamada much better in the middle too of course. But Minamino on the wing is basically a waste. If both play, rather go with Kamada there or start without Osako and have Minamino on top. Or start without Minamino.

Shibasaki better hope that the yakuza don't put a bounty on his head because THAT was similar to Andrés Escobar's fatal mistake. JFC, what was that brain fart?

Shibasaki's pass was an icing on the cake.

FFS, don't even call him up!

Shibasaki has been playing for Saudi the entire match. It was only a matter of time before he got an "assist".

And how about a coach who started him knowing how he looks?

If this loss means Moriyasu gets the ax, I'm all for it.

And a huge disavowing towards Japanese coaches as well. We have seen how shit things have become in China with a local at the helm, and I don't want to see that with this Japan team either. We need a new head coach who doesn't give a flying **** about politics when selecting players.

edit: I also wish supporters start becoming toxic against Moriyasu if that can help in moving the needle. Just **** him.

Ok then, it's gonna be a must win match against the Ozzies next week while hoping for Saudi to stumble somehow against the Chinese.

Can't imagine Japan after all these years, might require a playoff to reach the WC.
