To be honest though, the only matches of note are the ones above. It is really the east-Asian results that are important, because that was an actual tournament. Also the east Asians do just try a lot harder when they paly each other.

In an ideal world Nadeshiko would liaise with South Korea and arrange dual fixtures, so that a European team could come out and play two games as opposed to one. It is a long way to come for one match. Also they could probably arrange two teams to come out.

But I doubt that will ever happen.

EAFF isn't recognized by FIFA, this tournament matches count just as friednlies (for the purpouse of ranking points). Canada game counted double cuz of top 10 status.

JFA wanted WWC - they didn't get it (though they had a lot of saying who will get it in the end) Money saved for WWC were moved for WE League developement (substantial amount). Women's football developement is one the menu in JFA. It's only my guess but if it wasn't for covid I think JFA would've pushed for their own mini-tournament in Japan.

Looks like Chile team is on slow descent, their golden generation is getting older and new faces aren't of the same quality. Long season and micro-injuries starting to play their part.



Canada 0 - 0 Czech Republic
Toothless Canada. They dominated the match but were wasteful on chances - which tbh weren't as many (considering the possesion).



team GB will play... Zambia in two or three weeks...

 

Fair enough. I did not know that. But the games are played with so much more intensity than just a friendly.

They probably would have got it too. Not getting the WWC probably was a blessing in disguise.
