I was going to say at half time that Konomi will make an error and well she beat me to the punch. I do not trust her at all as a keeper. It is a shame because Hiroshima have looked just as good as Urawa and in attack have played some very good football.
The way Hiroshima play going forward should worry any team. I like the fact that the coach of Hiroshima changes the team around from week to week. Some of their movement has been really good and has made Urawa's defence look ordinary. Nakashima is playing really well and Kinga is playing well with Kawashima. Urawa will find a way to win because they have all that experience, but they look slow when defending. Hiroshima may have found a weakness that other teams can exploit. How Shibata does not get picked for a national squad is still beyond me. You also know when Urawa are under the pump because they try to win any which way they can.
Ando also should have been given a yellow card. I have always liked Ando, but she is as tough as nails and will win at any cost. She is playing very well this season, so teams have to make it harder for her. Hiroshima are doing that, which is good. I forgot to say though, it has been a good game.
Hiroshima have brought in the big guns. Saihara! We will see how she goes today. Her first game of the season.
Urawa were a bit rough to lose that game, but I am so happy Hiroshima won. Hiroshima have quite a few options of the bench. Today Yamaguchi and Saihara came on and made a huge difference and they did not even use Tachibana. But Kawashima and Kinga played really well along with Nakashima. They still need to cut down some of their unforced errors and work on their defence, but they did well today. More importantly they are just fun to watch. As I said Urawa were a bit unlucky. Naomoto played very well today along with Shibata Seike. Seike is really fast. They will be a bit disappointed with the result, but I think they miss Shiokoshi. Shiokoshi just gives them that little bit extra creativity. She also gives them width. Good game and a fantastic result if you are not an Urawa fan.
I am going out to work right now (7:30 in the morning here in Italy), but the news of Saihara's goal brightened my day. I like her since U-17 WWC 2014. Edit: and props to @pierre bezukhov for basically predicting her goal as soon as she stood up from the bench.
68 min....Nagano 0 Jeff 2.....Haruka Osawa,,,Big goalkeeping error also....the one woman army that is Arisa Minamino is on for the final 30 mins (made my day)
F.T.....Nagano 0 Jeff 2 Surely that must go down as a good away win without conceding a goal for the second from bottom side. Puts them level on points with quite a few others Suspect the Nagano coach was close to disciplinary action from ref
Today's result: WE LEAGUE Urawa (Sugasawa) 1-2 Sanfre (Taniguchi, Saihara) Nagano 0-2 Jef (Ohsawa 2) Beleza (Kitamura 2, Kinoshita, Ohyama) 4-1 Chifure (Nakamura)
