That was not enjoyable. So much bad football today by Nojima I don't know where to start. It is not the squad per se - though Nojima could do with some new players - but the way they are playing at the moment. Earlier in the season there really was a better system being played, but now it is just long passes from defence invariably to nobody in particular, or the opposition. Today especially there was very little link up play with midfield and Matsubara was wasteful when she got the ball. Just giving the ball away to a team that likes possession is just inviting trouble. Nojima did defend quite well, but once Ishida went off it fell apart quickly. But going forward was really bad today. Even last week against Ehime the difference in attacking movement was so clear. Ehime moved the ball way more effectively than Nojima, but were unable to finish. I do not know who the coach is for Ehime, but I would not mind them taking over Nojima. But today the passing in the final third was also attrocious. Players worked hard to break up the play or steal the ball from Beleza, but then all too often - especially in the first half - really bad passing on the break. On top of that the manager Kitano persisted with Kawashima, despite her having a terrible game. Why not bring on Mebae Tanaka? Kawashima is a favourite of mine, but the last month or so she has been out of sorts and today she was poor. I quite liked the starting lineup, because it was the same as last week, which gave the players a bit of coninuity. But once it became clear certain players were not playing there needed to be better changes. Anyway, the season is over and Nojima did not get relegated;-) It was not all bad with Kitano at least rotating the squad giving a few different players an opportunity to play. I hope that continues next year. With no relegation and no realy hope of winning the league I would like to see squad rotation, but with a better system of football. At the moment Yukari Morita and Saya Osumi are retiring while Sawa Matsuda is moving to Angeviolet Hiroshima. A little bit surprised by Osumi retiring, because when she has played she has been quite good, though she has not played that often.
Shin Nakamura appointed Sanfrecce Hiroshima coach. 1339818043002646528 is not a valid tweet id also... #GertEngelsMustGo!
They are playing in snow! This is what happens when you movie games to Tohoku. Though Sendai does not get that much snow by Tohoku standards.
I feel JEF were a little unlucky today. They took a bit too long to get going in the first half and Urawa took advantage with some nice goals, though really JEF should have done better at defending the corner. JEF need to do better when defending set pieces. But the second half was even and JEF scored some nice goals. It was just set piece defending that let them down, but Urawa should not have got the free in the first place. Naomoto's ability to get freekicks is amazing when she really does not deserve them. She is a very good player, but I am finding it harder and harder to like her. I will be curious to see where JEF go from here, because they have a pretty solid team, but they need another midfielder who can help out their defence. They play much better football at the moment compared to Nojima.
This quarter finals are very rare, because three teams who were tow goal behind got even on the way, but the final results were all different.

Some good news for your Monday morning - we've signed Japanese International Chinatsu Kira for the upcoming @WLeague season! ✍The attacking midfielder will add plenty of class and creativity to our W-League attack and we can't wait to have her at the Club! 🤩— Melbourne City FC (@MelbourneCity) December 20, 2020 also news on next season Nadeshiko League 1&2 NL 1 Orca Kamogawa FC Sfida Setagaya FC Nippon Sport Science University FIELDS Yokohama Nippatsu Yokohama FC Seagulls Yamato Sylphid NGU Loveledge Nagoya Iga FC Kunoichi Mie Konomiya Speranza Osaka Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies AS Harima Albion Angeviolet Hiroshima Ehime FC Ladies NL 2 Norddea Hokkaido Tsukuba FC Ladies Bunnys FC White Star JFA Academy Fukushima Shizuoka SSU Asregina Okayama Yunogo Belle Kibi International University Charme Okayama Takaryo Fukuoka J. Good news about Kira, as for any other Nadeshiko player abroad, although I can't see her getting back into NT consideration. It's anyway impressive that she's been signed by one of the highest profile Aussie's clubs as Melbourne City (won't they sign Kinga again? And it that case did they need to anyway fill the "Japanese quota"? ). Since Cerezo Sakai Ladies were 4th in Division 1 this year, it's impressive (and a shame) to see them listed in Nadeshiko League instead of the new professional league where they should have belonged to. Also, although JFA just won the placement match vs Ange Violet Hiroshima, I suppose it was Hiroshima being promoted because JFA can't actually move from Nadeshiko League 2. I see the sponsor Konomiya went back supporting Speranza. And why Bunnys Kyoto now became Bunnys White Star?
about Cerezo look at their age roster - it's mostly high schoolers and freshman, hard to sign proffesional contracts with students and minors. Takarada and Hayashi were among "seniors" in this team. That White Star it may be google translation fun

Wow, Albi are stronger than I figured! First they eliminate INAC, and now they are tying champions of Urawa... Exciting!
