Tomisawa played as MF all year but is listed as DF...this gives a general idea of the style Marinos adopted all season. BTW i'd rather have Tulio than Makino in the list...
I totally understand you and agrees also, but if you turn it around that defense made them runnersup.
LOL. Everything gets turned into cartoons in Japan. Anyway, here's the new brazuca with a J-League mark that will be used in the 2014 season:
1. Kashiwa Reysol 2. Urawa Red Diamonds 3. Sanfrecce Hiroshima 4. Kashima Antlers 5. Jubilo Iwata 6. FC Tokyo 7. Sagan Tosu 8. Vegalta Sendai 9. Nagoya Grampus 10. Yokohama F. Marinos 11. Omiya Ardija 12. Cerezo Osaka 13. Ventforet Kofu 14. Albirex Niigata 15. Shimizu S-Pulse 16. Kawasaki Frontale 17. Shonan Bellmare 18. Oita Trinita What is the above? It is my fail table. Aka League Table I predicted before the start of the season. Green are the teams I am satistifed with my prediction since they moved around those places or close enough. Blue is a mistake but not really all that great imo. Red is the teams I got wrong Purple is the teams I epically failed mostly because I underestimated them well 2 of them I am quite sure majority if not all epically failed to predict because we overestimated them Kashiwa and Jubilo Here so that it is known I come clean on stuff... heh
here is my prediction As you see I make few mistakes in the line up itself with the most important one being Okubo on top not inner striker second striker role... I also wrote that the game in attack will be based on Renato Okubo and Nakamura but that basically I dont see much different from season before and expect decline. It is not that I didnt rate Kawasaki or Kazama about who I wrote that likes discipline and hard work and I also knew fully well what their plans before season were title race or at least top 3. I totally and fully underestimated and undervalued Okubo lmao x infinity But I admit it here black on white my bad heh I guess top scorer 26 goals makes the difference ?
The way Kazama deployed Okubo was a real masterstroke - I doubt anyone really saw this renaissance coming. After the mess last season and nepotism etc., I was starting to regard the manager as overhyped so the season was a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to what they have in store during the winter transfer window.
As an interesting fact I went to see just how many points Okubo got them with his own goals alone 1. 33 round Win 0-1 instead of draw Oita (2 points) 2. 31. round win with 2:0 instead of draw against Shimizu (2 points) 3. 28. round win 3:1 instead of draw against Kashiwa (2 points) 4. 27. round win 1-2 instead of draw against Nagoya (2 points) 5. 23. round win 2-1 instead of draw against Omiya (2 points) 6. 21. round win 1-3 instead of draw Ventforet (2 points) 7. 20. round draw 2-2 instead of loss Tokyo (1 point) 8. 17. round win 2-3 instead of draw Omiya (2 points) 9. 14 round win 4-2 instead of draw Kashima (2 points) 10. 13. round win 2-1 instead of loss Albirex (3 points) 11. 11. round draw 2-2 instead of loss Cerezo (1 point) 12. 7. round win 4-2 instead of draw Vegalta (2 points) 13. 2. round draw 1-1 instead of loss Oita (1 point) In other words 24 points by just these goals (naturally he scored others as well and made assists and extra contribution to the Kawasaki's game) With 24 points less Kawasaki would currently have total of 36 points and be exactly in 16. place heh. But ok lets say that he would score half of the above vital goals aka he would decide only every second game out of the above(the bolded ones) than Okuba would still contributed 11 points with only his goals and would have still bagged 17 goals in a season which is a nice score for a striker just not an exceptional one. In that case with 13 points less Kawasaki would have 47 points and would be in 11th place in the league. Just interesting statistic nothing more. One which reminds me just how much I underestimated Okubo
