Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Fvck Kashima, Fvck Kashima...... I told you back in May that they are not the type of team that can stay in 1st place for long time.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] It's gonna be a party tonight, a party tonight! GO to hell Kashima! LOL! Join Jubilo in our mid table zone of despair.
What I was trying say was that Kashima is lot better at chasing the first place than holding on to it. Don't count them out just yet. BTW, J.League has started to inspect Ehime FC as Ehime FC prepares to win the promotion to J2 this year. If everything goes well, most likely J2 will add one club at the end of the year.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Shuvy, What do you mean by "J.League has started to inspect Ehime FC" ? Is there a certain criteria / requirement to join the second division?
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Obviously... for J2, these are the some of the criteria that J.League looks at: 1) Must finish at top 2 of JFL (although J.Leauge is little loose about this; a club can finish at top 3 and still get promoted just like Thespa Kusatsu did last year) 2) Club must be professional football club with minimum finalcial capita of 2 million yen 3) Club must have a home ground with at 5k capacity (with natural grass and lightings for night games) 4) Must have at least 5 professional players with "A football licesence" (meaning the rest could be amatures or part-timers) 4) Must have a youth team (U-18). After 3 years of promotion, must have U-15 and U-12 also. There are also criteria for promoting to J1 or for participating in Promotion/Relegation Series. Finishing top three is just one criteria.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Lets say that some of Japan's older soccer heros decided that they form a professional club. Due to lack of funds, it has appointed Kamo Shou (the guy that was fired during the 98 WC Q's) as head coach and King Kazu as his assistant and lets say these guys would almost gladly do it for free. The club is heavily supported by its prefecture. Now here's the question - Would this new club start out in the JFA, the J2, or the J1?
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] The club must start at a lot lower level than that. Let's say the club is based in somewhere in Tokyo perfecture. The club will start at Tokyo Prefecture Soccer League. At the end of TSL season, the champions and runnerups from other prefectures in Kantou Region will compete in playoff to win two spots in Kantou Soccer Leauge Div 2. Then the club must move to KSL Div 2 then to Div 1. At the end of KSL Div 1 season, there is a simular playoff; however, this time the champs for eight regions in Japan competing for JFL promotion. Then finally the club can move to JFL then to J2 and J1. Everytime the club move to higher division, there are more requirement the club must meet. In short this is what all the club must go through: Prefectural Level (Div 2, 1 in some prefecture) --> <[End of the year playoff] --> Regional Level (Div 2, 1 in some region) --> <[End of the year playoff] --> JFL --> J2 --> J1.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] F Marinos midfielder Hayuma Tanaka drove into an eldery man leaving him seriously injured. Japanese version English
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] He will problaby not even get punished cause he is a star, Steve Finnan drove a man down and he died. I dont think anything happend.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Honestly I can't blame him since those old people are always walking around without looking where they are going. They are bound to get run over every once in a while.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] By the way, Shuvy, do you have a link with any info about the Ehime FC situation?
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Thank you very much, Shuvy - have I understood that correctly, that at the end of September Ehime will have to make their application to join the J-League?
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Yap, Sept 30 is the deadline for application. There should few more clubs doing this. That includes FC Gunma Horikoshi, Tochigi FC, etc.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Ideally, J.Leauge wants one expansion club next year and one more the year after. Then in two year, they plan to have J3. Meanwhile, no matter how many clubs promote to J2 this year, JFL is going to expand from 16 to 18 clubs next year. Ehime is the best candidate since they are ahead in many criteria. Plus, J. Leauge might not approve Guman FC Horikoshi just yet; they are not sure whether Guman Provice can support two J.League clubs at this point (Thespa Kusatsu is the other one).
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Gamba go 4 points clear for at least a day after beating Sanfrecce 4-2 , King Araujo scored a hat-trik and Endo got the other 1, Kashima play Kawasaki Frontale tomorrow, Also Yokohama finally won a game, beat Vissel Kobe 2-0 Rodrigo Gral and Sakata with the goals
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Gamba outshot Kashiwa 28-8..........28 shots in a game is unreal. It'll be nice to have one team that can play in the ACL next year.
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] I can't wait for the Kashima game, only 2 weeks away now , it's going to be awesome
Re: 2005 J-League Thread [R] Half Time -- Kawasaki Frontale 2 - 0 Kashima Antlers hahahahahaha Comon Frontale!!! Gamba will surly be champions
