OK time to get this week's game thread going... Game will be on MSG... Hopefully we will have Pacheco, Hall, Kandji and Celades starting. Cepero/Conway HallBoyensGoldyBorman RichardsStammyCeladesPacheco MacoumbaAngel
sorry, i missed the reason for hall not dressing this past weekend. can someone recap? I'm assuming he's available this weekend v. rsl, correct?
Another game? Oh God; must we suffer again? Don't we get a bye, some week? Anyone who hasn't yet, go and read what Ives has to say about the RB offense (or lack thereof). Rips us apart, deservedly.
Man, like always they keep this thing like secrets, no body knows why and they don't say anything either....
Osorio have to sit Rojas, Pietra and Smith all year around if is posible or until they can kick they asses from the team because they are extremely bad players and Richards for a couple of game for the same reason and I don't give a heck who play for them, but even if we play 3 men short I'm sure the team will play much better with out this people on the field... We have a very weak defense Pacheco must be in but at the same time Johnson will be out I will like to see the following line-up: Angel....Kandji Pacheco/Borman....Celades....Mbuta Luke Pacheco/Borman....Stammy....Petke....Hall Conway/Duffy On the left we can play Pacheco or Borman as a LW but Pacheco style of defender always he cover the LW using a lot of real state and he will be capable to come back and help Borman in the LB, on the other side I will like to see Hall in the RW but will be impossible for this game because Johnson is out for the Red Card he got in Houston, so Hall have to play RB...
i guess conway will be starting i just read on ives that we waived dufty to make way for pacheco. I would like see a more offensive minded line up. we need to score and not just for the obvious reason that goals win games but because this team desperately need confidence. that run in last yrs playoffs was such a huge confidence booster. each game built on the last. Osorio has to do something different to shake things up and get this team going.
They waived Duffy: http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2009/04/red-bulls-waive-dufty-.html#more I don't believe this shit, what two stupids animals we have like director an Coach of this team, they don't finished of clean they asses for the last shit when they make other biggest than the before... I really don't understand how a Developer player will make a opening for a international spot, he is a Dev for Jesus Christ, he don't count in the 20 Sr roster, how they will open a spot for Pacheco waiving him.... Second, according to the rules he don't count because is in the team as a substitute for a DL(disability list player), so, they don't need to waived him or no body for that effect... WTF is going on with this people, every day is a different disaster...
who else would go? Anyway my Starting XI for Saturday Angel...Kandji Borman...Rojas....Celedes...Richards Pacheo....Petke...Mendes...Hall Conway
If only JCO wouldnt ruin that potential lineup... though i thought boyens played well against houston
I think that's likely. OR: Kandji Angel Borman Celades Mbuta Stammler Pacheco Goldy Medes Hall Conway Richards needs to have a fire lit under him, and benching might do it. Osorio seems to like Goldy over Petke at the moment. Boyens too (although both Boyens and Petke would make our center glacially slow). I MIGHT give Rojas one more game playing with a fitter Celades, but I'm leaning towards benching him.
Zero wins 2 Losses 2 Ties 2 points. Zero goals scored in four matches. Half the team played out of position. Next.
My starting eleven: ---------- Angel ----- Kandji ---------- --------------- Celades --------------- Borman ----------------------- Richards ---------------- Rojas ----------------- Pacheco --- Boyens --- Johnson --- Hall ------------------ GK ------------------ Someone needs to be up top with Angel. Borman and Richards flying down the wings is a great strategy. Give Celades the same chance at CAM as everyone else has had. Put Rojas at the back of the Midfield where his style of play can be effective. Play Hall and Pacheco. Johnson is big and should play in the middle with Boyens.
It's never pleasant to read your snide little remarks, metz. Now I remember why I had your posts blocked for so long.
Ugh! I forgot. So we put Los Mendes in that spot: ---------- Angel ----- Kandji ---------- --------------- Celades --------------- Borman ----------------------- Richards ---------------- Rojas ----------------- -Pacheco --- Boyens --- Medes --- Hall- ------------------ GK ------------------
Do you think Borman will succeed as a left winger? in the first few games he has sent in some truly god awful crosses on his overlap runs, they often land about 10 yards behind the damn goal. He does have some speed, but I'm not sure he adds anything to the offense at the moment. I'm still thinking of playing Smith, he does have the potential to play a lot better than he has shown, but he has been invisible in the first few games... tough choice

Borman's crossing is wrethch and he can not play left mid if you guys want to see any cross coming to Angel. I would love to see Mbuta and Hall on the flanks and have Richards of the bench.. but i guess thats just me.
My starting eleven: ---------- Angel ----- Woly ---------- --------------- Kandji --------------- Pacheco ------------------------- Hall --------------- Celades ----------------- Borman --- Petke --- Mendes --- Zimmerman ---------------- Conway ---------------- Zimmerman? Why not? He supposedly looked good in pre-season so I say give him a shot at right back as we could use Hall in place of the non-existant Richards. Kandji has looked to be a better distributor than Rojas, so he's my pick at Attacking/Creative midfielder. Also, I'm thinking that Pacheco has a better cross than Borman so why not put him further up and keep Borman in the back (where he has done relatively well).
Another week, another game. We are likely to see much of the same nonsense we have seen in the first 4 weeks. This time though, I can see us winning 2-1. Juan Pablo will finally get one. It will be ugly, poor quality and not likely to be especially exciting, but we'll win this week. We are good enough at home to finally crack the win column. .
