"Javier even asked for the number six shirt at one point during the negotiations, as he knew it was the number that Bobby Moore had worn for us all those years ago!

If its not taken i would be happy to see him get it. Bobby was held in very high regard in all South America.

It sounds very much as though they might be here for a little longer than we feared. (All from a TB quote though, which doesn't always bode well)

I was just about to post that. Quite a statement on Mascherano's part that he thinks he can live up to the legacy of Bobby Moore. See, this is why I wanted Manchester United to get him so badly. Instead, he's at the wrong United. :D

    Great signing for you guys.

They were trying to lock him up on a long-term deal. :)

That was Bogota, Columbia and they picked on the wrong Bobby. Charlton would have gone to pieces, our Bobby took it all in stride.
    He was almost a god!

LOL Tevez said he became a West Ham supporter last year because of Scaloni.

Scaloni is available after Deportivo released him (might help the lads to settle) or he might take the boys to "Browns" every night (I don't mean Terence's gaff)
