Well, i <3 the jim rome show. I'm surprised your local sports talk affliates doesn't have the jim rome show. He is arguable one of my all time faves on sports talk radio.
John, welcome but for the love of jeebus please never ever ever call us New U again. It's Newcastle, Mags or Toon. Once again welcome.
Hey guys. I'm a fairly new fan of soccer, and a new fan of Newcastle. Watching the Cup this year really drew me in, and after casually following the EPL last year I figured it was time to sack up and pick a team. I was also kind of motivated by the Sportsguy's espn article. It was a good introduction to all the teams and helped me realize how much thought I could put into picking a team to follow. Newcastle came fairly easy though--I liked the beer, I liked the history, the reputation, and the city sounded like a fun place to visit some day. I remembered Emre from the '02 WC, and thought he was a badass. Also, a Newcastle replay showed up on FSC and I found myself cheering and complaining out loud, so I took that as a sign that this is the team for me. I'll apologize in advance for any ignorant comments/questions, I'm still learning about the team and the game in general. And I don't like Jim Rome.
well you cant go one match without hearing toon toon black and white army i dont hear any chants about magpies
Hey my name is Jak and I love Newcastle and besides that I love Real Salt Lake, Florida Gators Football, Duke University basketball, Georgia Tech Football, and all Atlanta teams except Georgia Bulldogs I becamce a Newcastle Fan when I got FSC and Gol TV, they had the coolest jerseys and the BEST FANS!, oh and because I read Bill Simmons article on ESPN.com Page 2 and I like what i heard about Newcastle, although I am a big Jermain Defoe fan, sorry
Was anybody else excited to see Chelsea eat Sh*t against the MLS allstars? No way that's not at least a little bit humiliating.
I'm not that excited about it, Chelsea seemed pretty uninterested in the game for the most part. Nice to see them lose, but I doubt they lose any sleep over it.
When i was younger i used to read match magazine. The first time after i started reading it and a new season started, i got a wall chart planner. At that time i had no team to follow on it. I asked my dad and he said i should follow NUFC because they played good attacking football and were exciting. That was around the Keegan era. 10 years later, im still supporting them!
as a former resident of the Happy Valley, and third generation Nittany Lion Them's fightin words... "mighty" Iowa Hawkeyes? Please, Ohio state you are not,...not even remotely.
Can we take this discussion of boring, second class Big 10 football elsewhere? It's boring me, like the Big 10 does. Thank you in advance.
