the "vinotinto" is puketastic. the color is generally tacky, i know because i have impecable taste. the yellow with red diagonal band is ok but meh.
I think what Cuah was referring to in the article was the jersey with the blue 'V" on the front, not this current one. edit: I just reread the article and you're right. He says it's a nice design, but complains about the color. What he thinks is the best is that "V" design from the 80s.
i actually like the cruz azul uniforms... the nicest in the whole league this year, the teams sucks tho...
I think its a retro design. Does anyone remember the show Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo used to be on, and he would always wear a Necaxa jersey? I think the current one is similar to that style

I just got back from a visit to Mexico. It was my first time there, I went along with my fmaily. I am not Mexican but Univision's presence in the NYC area is strong and I have always enjoyed following the Mexican league. I saw the new Chivas Jersey (the one with the horns curling up) and it looked so awesome in person that I bought it. It really is one cool looking design. I know it has a lot of detractors becuase it strays from the traditional chivas look, but I for one am so happy with it. The BIMBO sponsor on the front is not quite as big as it looks in the photographs on here. In real life it looks smaller and is almost "swallowed" up by the red vertical stripes. I came away from my visit to mexico with a very good impression of the mexican people--they are all very nice and friendly and respect you if you respect them. I can't get over having to haggle prices but I always felt i got a fair deal. (i suppose it also helps that i'm latino and am able to speak spanish). I came away from Mexico having also bought a cruz azul white jersey, the pumas white jersey with the gold puma face logo, and the America yellow jersey. Nice mementos from my trip to Mexico. Just wish i could have had enough cash to get the new Tigres jersey, but being in Cancun for 1 week can get expensive!!
