I'm watching the Bruins take a 5-0 lead over first-place Ottawa, and with each goal I keep expecting Jack Edwards to break out a line like the one that adorns this thread. So far, no luck, but I'm going to keep hoping. :)

If the Bruins can sneak the 8 seed, and Ottawa gets the 1...

And I LOVE Jack Edwards. LOVE.

Here ya go, Beez... I won't even charge you for this.

    Since the Thornton trade...

    Andrew Raycroft: 3-5-0, 4.29 GAA, .871 Save%

    Hannu Toivonen: 5-3-1, 2.05 GAA, .930 Save%

    Tim Thomas: 6-1-2, 1.95 GAA, .939 Save%

    Toivonen/Thomas: 11-4-3, 2.00 GAA, .935 Save%

That pretty much sums it up, don't it? This team looks pretty good when the goalies stop the puck.

I'm sure glad they've turned it around. Watching Raycroft's post-game interviews was incredibly depressing. Post-game interviews need to have a "mercy rule".

Is there anything sadder in hockey than a goalie who loses the *magic*? Let's hope he rediscovers it before they dump him for peanuts.

I don't recognize any of these names? Is this college hockey your talking about? ;)

Damn early preseason lack of information to discuss is a bitch ! It's gets mature, rational soccer fans )I know that excludes some regular posters) to stoop to talking about HOOKEY HOOKEY. Yuck. (HUGE GRIN)

it also helps the team look good when the people in front of the goalie make it easier for the goalie (see healthy boynton, healthy(ish) leetch, stuart, tanabe). Plus Boyes and Sturm are playing phenominally together, and Bergeron is well, er...amazing. Hopefully they can get the 7th seed and play Ottawa first round.

I feel terribly for Razor. I hope he can get himself turned around. I'm sure he's the one they'd want to trade, but he's been so miserable lately, what could you get? Maybe Thomas will go because he can bring something back.

This is, of course, after Hannu shows he's healthy.

So now I know why you left Can-ee-dah, eh? It must be coz you don't like hockey...

C'mon, how could you not love the broadcasters there like Jean-Guy Talbot, the former St. Louis Blues player who used to refer to then-owner Sid Soloman III as "Sid Soloman da turd."

"Well yanow, da guy, 'e hain' got too many brain, an he hain' got too many teet, but ByGollyITellYa, 'e sure know how ta put da puckindanet, eh?"
    :p

Oh I like the fights but I'd much rather see them on "Saturday Night at the Fights" where only two guys go at it and they don't have body armor on. :D
