This is a really interesting competition. I believe Chattanooga hosted and won last year. Some guys at USASA are working with me to figure out how to hype it up more.
Tons of NASL and USL coaches and scouts were at the NPSL Player Showcase. I don't know exact numbers, but I would venture to say 30+ representatives were there from MLS, NASL, and USL.
nah...they won back in 2015, while they hosted last year, they lost: Chattanooga FC Crowned Amateur Champions 6/2/2015 2:45pm CDT By USASA Communications Chicago Fire U-23 Wins 2016 U.S. Soccer National Amateur Championship 5/31/2016 1:30pm EDT By PDL Staff Defeated Chattanooga FC, 2-1, to lift the Hank Steinbrecher Cup
oh absolutely no worries...you are really to be commended for all of your good works in helping to try and grow the game that we all love.

WHY do you keep doing this in NPSL 2016? I wish mods would get you under control. You are ridiculous.
You have the capability to follow forum rules. It has nothing to do with my "wish." It has everything to do with forum rules and logic. How hard is that to understand? Why is it so hard to do? If you're going to post, post it properly. That's it. It's not too hard for you is it?
Apparently you do not understand how forums work. That's too bad for you, and the rest of this community. I never knew understanding how forums work is really too hard for some people.
So you guys do know that everyone who has been following this forum gets a notice when you both make another juvenile comment here, right? I'm unwatching this forum now.
http://scratchingthepitch.com/2017/...mo-fc-signings-include-bevy-of-all-americans/ The number of players on the Dayton Dynamo FC roster grew to 10 with the announcement of four signings last week. Defender Austin Kinley, midfielder Joel Twinem, and forwards Matt Kinkopf and Tristan Lyle have signed on for the 2017 NPSL season. With a trio of attacking players in the mix, Dynamo supporters finally have some idea who will score the goals this spring.
Connecticut Pro Soccer shared Hartford City FC's post. 11 hrs · Atlantic Conference SCHEDULES are in the hands of the teams. Just awaiting the NPSL's official announcement.

Interesting thing to keep an eye on. USASA has been talking with clubs in the PDL, NPSL, UPSL and other major leagues under their umbrella about a massive restructure. Through my day job, I found out it will involve 'around 200 teams.' Looks like they planning to create their own versions of D4/5/6
I would love to see this happen. I'd love to see 64 team div 4 and remainder in div 5 with pro/rel. lower travel costs at div 5 but play smaller teams. It also makes sense to work together rather than compete with each other.
Why would there be lower travel costs in D5? The country is still the same size. Unless you are going to put five teams in Colorado or Oklahoma, there are only so many realistic places to put teams, and they are, by necessity because of the size of the country, going to be spread out a bit.
div 4 with 64 teams could have 8 x 8 team conferences while div 5 could have 16 x 8 team leagues. Splitting the country up by 16 will make smaller area's than by dividing by 8. (Note. doesn't have to be 8 team conferences but would be a minimum size)
Very intriguing, throw some USSF in to help this along and this could further stabilize the lower amateur/semi-pro divisions
That presumes there are sufficient teams in each region. If you end up with teams 1500 miles apart because there just aren't sufficient teams in a concentrated region, that's not really regional. If there are eight teams in and around Southern California, fine. But there may not be eight in the Pac Northwest, and it is not a guarantee that all eight in one region continue to exist from one year to the next, given the failure rate of teams at this level.
