    You know what?

I'll gladly suffer through a 1-5 finish to the season if that one win is against Chicago next weekend.

that makes two of us and probably many more. Whats the story on the Brimstone Cup? Do we keep it if we win? I know it's not that big of a deal anymore, but it'd be nice to say we won SOMETHING.

Bring a camera and get your picture taken with the Cup.

El Jefe, lets work on making some chants for the game.

This is the one we have been waiting for, the one we alwasy knew was coming.

This will be the home blow out. Chicago wins by five at least, and could very well eclipse the record the Galaxy set in the Cotton Bowl.

The only good thing about the coming apocolypse is that Mike Jeffries might resign in shame. Though I doubt it. "We didn't get the breaks...there were some calls that went against us...it was very close...just a few small problems...the fans won't support us...."

That's right, Mike. It's everybody's fault but yours.

The Devastation, the Wasteland that has been
this season, can be completed, in it's entirety,
    by losing the Brimstone.

I'll be there, hoping against hope that we
can retain Brimstone. And prepared to
surrender it. I will, of course, be carrying
Rotten Eggs for Segroves if he dares set
foot anywhere near the Cup until the loss,
uh, i mean, the game, is over.

Are the burners or ultras coming down
    for this?

    Brimstone week

So what is the schedule looking like? Here is my suggestion.

Monday night Parade the Brimstone Cup at Cabaret Royale.

Tuesday night Parade the Brimstone Cup at Baby Dolls.

Wednesday night Parade the Brimstone Cup at the Lodge

Thursday night Parade the Brimstone Cup at Penthouse club.

Friday morning Golf at the Four seasons.

Friday night Parade the Brimstone Cup at the Men's Club.

Now everybody sing along with Parrish:
    - I got twenty dollars
    - Lets all go to the strip club
    - I got twenty dollars (bis)

    :)

Saturday night hand the Cup to the Red and Black after they stun the Fire with a 3-2 victory.

I dont know what is worst, the fact that Dallas has no chance against Chicago, or that Dallas has so many strip clubs that I could have written the joke as Brimstone Month

1-5? I wish. We are already in the midst of a 1-9 finish to the season.

But I agree 100% with your sentiment... PISS ON THE FIRE!

Anybody else watch the Chicago/LA game?

We don't have a chance, none at all, not even a molicule of a chance.

Ralph and Razov will run free in the box and score two each.

I imagine Jefferies has some type of defensive plan, but I certainly can't tell what it is and it doesn't seem to be working.

Could he move to something simpler, like a man on man defense? Assign each defender a forward, and let the mark them, or what goes for marking on the Daisies D, all night.

Well every other team has been trying a 3 on 1 when it comes to defending against Damani.

I'm sure he would love to have just one player to beat.

he's got a point. I hope the Burn find a way to shine and show us they will be working for next season but if they lose it won't unexpected as say if we were to loose to the goons last season.

    Chicago is going down!

3-2 Burn with a late Curtis goal. Damani will get two for the goons.

While the rivalry has been all-but-erased from my 'soccer-passion' file, I still want the league to do something constructive (or RE-constructive) - where the Brimstone is concerned. The travesty of minimal matchups is just plain ignorant.

But, really... If the Fire win the Brimstone Cup back; do you really think that Chicago going to MLS Cup won't hurt any more?

Face it, now that Razov isn't stomping the opposition, he's actually contributing... Curtin isn't just a scarecrow hacker, he's a tremendous defender... Mapp is one of the most underrated, young players in the league... Gray could probably play any position, on any team in the league... Ralph... well, need I?..

Fact is, is that Chicago has everything it takes to go to MLS Cup. I think THAT will hurt more than us losing the Brimstone; because it will be the FINAL nail in the coffin of this nightmare-of-a-season.

Here's to "waking up" for Frisco!!!

    June 15, 2002- Burn 3 @ Chicago 1

    August 10, 2002- Chicago 1 @ Burn 3

These were great to watch, and I think the August 10th game was one of them best Burn games I've ever been to. I had so much hate for Chicago back then, and seeing Kreis score the winner with like a minute left and then Ronnie making Thorton his bitch moments later (not to mention the Dr. Evil run) was just magic. But now it's hard to hate the goons without the core of goons. Sure they still got Razov and Whitfield (god I hate him), but Kovalenko and Stoichkov are gone, and it's just not the same anymore. Not to mention the most recent result...

    June 18, 2003- Burn 1 @ Chicago 5, enough said

My prediction (take it with a grain of salt)....

    September 20, 2003- Chicago 2 @ Burn 3 or 2-2

Brimstone stays in Dallas if the old saying is true,
