Netherlands plan to bid for 2027 WWC. https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2018/...mens-world-cup-in-wake-of-leeuwinnen-success/
There's a lot of tournaments the Faroes could host! But probably best if it's something more minor like the beach soccer World Cup, or the Olympics. Or something much more advanced Shut up, it's good (ubahnverleih, cc-pd)
From NFF website: this week ›NFF news The road ahead for Vision 2027 Work on the Nordic joint application for the Women's World Cup in 2027 was the main theme at the Nordic meeting 2019. Share: Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Mail Read more about Vision 2027 here Rune Nordhaug is NFF's project manager for Vision 2027, and he presented the project's status and the way forward on behalf of the working group, which consists of representatives from the six unions. - We received good support from all the nations, got nice feedback on what we have done so far, and support to continue with the work. So we're moving on, says Nordhaug, and says that the project team will have a meeting with the French Football Association in September, to hear about their experiences as organizer of this summer's World Cup and implement it further in the work on the Nordic application. In October, potential host cities will gather in Gothenburg and receive a review of the status, the criteria for being the organizer and the process ahead. Currently, the application itself is a while ahead - FIFA launches its application process for the championship in February 2022, and stakeholders must register in March 2022. The application is then submitted in October, and then FIFA will go through the candidates thoroughly before announcing the organizer in the first quarter of 2023. . - We have also had a meeting with the Nordic Council, and they think our project is very exciting. They are positive about bringing Nordic values closer together through football, presenting the Nordic region as one region and drawing synergies from a championship where the nations come together. They have given signals that they want to join in, and that is a key factor for us, says Nordhaug. The next women's World Cup will be held in 2023, and the organizer of this will be announced in May 2020.
For some reason, highlights of this great day were deleted from Youtube, so you'll have to click separately to watch goal 1 and goal 2. All you young commentators out there, that's how you do it. The Faroes, or I should say the Football Islands, were playing Wales in a Euro qualifier this week. They.. didn't win, but the no.9 Mortensen did hit an inch-perfect autogol. Finally, THANK YOU! ^ Someone gets it
It's going to be Piteå (SWE) against Bröndby (DEN) in the women's Champions League... Let's just hope this animosity doesn't blow the whole bid. BRIDGES, NOT WALLS
