The show that Greg Lalas and Shep Messing host gave the Nordecke the Fan of the Year Award. It is around the 13th minute when they announced it. Also GBS got their Man of the Year award.

Since i can't bear to watch Greg Lalas, I'll just take your word for it. Congrats, the Nordecke and Guille definitely deserve it!

wow... no love for LTA? HSH and CU get mentioned... that's pretty crap they couldn't spend 10 seconds on Wikipedia and name the other large supporters group.

That may actually be a plus for LTA.

As a German speaker, I'm getting really tired of it being called Nor-deck...for the last time, it's Nor-deck-eh. Cool shout out though.

    Is it Nor-deck-ah or Nor-deck-eh?

I always have been saying it "Nor-deck-ah", "Nor-deck-eh" has too much Canadian in it for me. And, Nor-deck is just old fashioned lazyiness.

I find it kind of funny all the different ways it has been pronounced. It's about as mistfying to pronounce for some as it is for alot of people to believe that the Crew really won the MLS Cup.

I wonder who Lalas and Messing had to blow to get a show on FSC.

It is one of those words. There was/is a brand of European hiking boots that I am still not entirely sure how to pronounce. The brand is Asolo. It is either pronounced A-solo or like the Oslo, Norway. Or the lead singer/guitarist for Dinosaur Jr.---JMascis. Is it pronounced Jay Maskus or like Jay Macy-is? And now the Nordecke. Luckily, I only have to type it and not say it out loud.

I don't think it is on FSC, just MLSnet. I am sure they probably just fluff each other before the camera rolls (probably why Shep shaved his mustache).

Maskus. Loudest show I've ever seen was Dinosaur Jr at the Newport about 10 years ago. Even in the back peoples shirts were getting blown around by all the air the speakers were pushing.

I was at that show. Despite my inability to say the name properly, Dinosaur is one of my top three favorite bands of all time. Yes, they are SUPER loud. Like nobody else. I have seen solo acoustic shows of JMascis where it is just him in a chair with his Martin guitar (a la the "Martin and Me" album). However, at various points, he would stand up, hit one of his peddles, and his acoustic guitar would immediately morph into an electric guitar and he would rip off one of his patented 3 minute solos.....that make your ears bleed. You think the Newport was loud. Try Staches or Little Brothers---same speakers, 1/3 of the space. JMascis & The Fog is the only concert I have ever put cotton in my ears for.

Haha, if you want to get technical...

    Nor-deck-uh
    Nor-deck-ah
    Nor-deck-eh

All are acceptable...it just doesn't end with "deck." :)

Steht auf wenn ihr Columbus seid!:D

It's just because we english speakers have that silly silent "e".
Oh and I believe Lalas not mentioning LTA is as bad as Gerber's f-up at MLS Cup. They asked for emails for the next show, I think we should give them some about this disrespect for our fellow supporter's group.

CSU has gotten left out of stuff before, who cares? I don't expect them to know the ins and outs of supporter culture in Columbus. I don't think they were being disrespectful, ignorant maybe, but not disrespectful.
