There are no good soccer stores here in this part of the valley. I have a son who refuses to buy boots that he has not tried on first. Can anyone give me the name and location of sev. of the better stores in the northern va./DC area?

    Thanks,

    John

Well, there's one in Kensington, MD which isn't too far from RFK, if your up for a game anyway. I can't recall the name of the place, but GDopplerXT could probably set you hip.

I'm sure there are a number of good ones in the ever-creeping suburban wasteland that is Northern Virginia. ;) big winkies NOVA folks. :D

Look for the Amtrak train on the side of the road, it's right by there.

TJ Sports on Papermill Road in Winchester. I assume it's still in business. We used to get all our soccer equipment from them.

Other than that, I think your best bet is the drive to all-ready suggested Godeks near Tyson's Corner. The Soccer Pro shop (also suggested earlier) is also a good one.

Soccer Pro Shop rules, as has been noted.

Also, Soccer Kicks in Arlington is a nice store as well.

Close enough. It's actually "Soccer American", a nice little Mom & Pop type place that's been there for ages.

They don't appear to have a website, but here is the phone # in case anyone is interested:

    Kensington SOCCER AMERICAN (301) 942-9010

    CURRENT AFFAIRS TRIVIA!!!! -
Soccer American is only a couple blocks away from where the Amtrak train derailed in Kensington yesterday.
