No, Nike personifies poor quality and a lack of concern for consumers and employees, there is a difference.

yeah i like it too, but i think they should put the dc badge back in the middle of the three white stripes. but add more red in there. im tired of the dull black kits. but a bit more read and im set. I wonder if they will change the away shirt too. hopefully make an all red one.

I was thinking about it, and maybe what they could do is make all those seams red.

Adidas jerseys seem to be more truer to size than their Nike counterparts... for whatever reason....

Yes I believe my OSi shinguards from adidas are also bulletproof, only one way to find out...

The OSI shinguards are good stuff. I love mine.

I'm not sure Adidas manufactures them, though. I wouldn't be surprised one company makes all of them specifications and then puts Adidas, Puma, Nike or whatever's logo.

Okay, it's official, we have Freddy.

Think Nike could/will/should persuade (give some cash to) DCU to drop Adidas?

I'm sure Nike would like nothing better than to see thier $1 million golden child in an all nike Uniform, not just Nike shoes.

I'm talking marketing here, not which manufactuer is better.

They may ask, but I don't think MLS would risk alienating Adidas by forcing them out of their #1 property in American soccer. I don't think they would be happy unless Nike gave them New York or LA in exchange.

Personally, I hope we stick with Adidas.

True, but in the wacky world of MLS anything is possible.

I'm not stuck on either brand, but if Nike puts any marketing Muscle behind Adu, I think it would be a great benefit to DCU if he could apear in a DCU uniform.

If DCU stays with Adidas, I wonder how they would work that out?

The same way they work it out at Real Madrid [adidas] with Ronaldo [nike].

I'm just wondering, does Ronaldo usually appear in commercials in his team's uniform or in a generic uniform?

Unfortunately I haven't seen any Ronaldo commercials lately.

Ronaldo commercials almost exclusively show him playing from Brazil. Nike guy, Nike team.

Beckham had it in his ManU deal that he could only be used for promos if there were more than three (or some number) players in the picture.

Lets not get on the NIKE wagon just because they spend more on advertising. NIKE stinks. Their boots are horrible, which tells you how much they know about the sport really. [/B][/QUOTE]

I could not agree with you more. Long Live Adidas.

    You're kidding, right?

Players in sports all over the world have individual sponsorship deals, and play on teams that wear uniforms made by different companies.

What the team wears on the field has nothing to do with what deals an individual player might have.
