That's great news. By 2006 Columbus, LA, Dallas, Colorado and Metros will have their own stadiums. Not bad for a 10 year anniversary. Isn't Chicago in the works as well?

Trying to by 2007. They've cut it down to 4 sites that have put in bids, two of which reportedly seem to have the greater chances, Bridgeview and downtown Chicago. But getting back into Soldier Field is already going to be a better deal with 5 new streams of revenue coming in compared to just one before.

Plus don't forget that we might have a couple of expansion teams by then, too. If the prerequisite for an expansion team is to have their own stadium, then more than half the teams in the league will have their own stadium. That would rock.

Of course, if the Rochester Rhinos are incorporated into the expansion, that's an automatic stadium right there.

Not that I'm trashing St. Phil, but it is nice that a team of his was purchased. Defo reassuring that a new fresh investor is in the game with plans for a new stadium. Great sign for the league.

Frankly, I should think the guy's dying to get rid of some of his clubs. Excellent news.
