As many of you know by now, US Soccer announced this week that the US vs Mexico WCQ will be heading back to Columbus on Wednesday, February 11th. It will mark the third Hex in a row we will play Mexico there. We were there in 2005 and everyone who attended can attest to what a game and atmosphere it was. Here is our match report from that day: http://www.njbrigade.com/match20.html The NJB is in the process of trying to secure a bus, hotel accommodations and game tickets in Columbus for a group of 30 to 50 people, depending upon interest from you. The tentative itinerary would be leaving Wed 2/11 from NYC (corner 31st and 8th) around 5-6am with a pickup location in NJ somewhere off Rt 80 (looking at the new Park and Ride right off Exit 30). We would be staying the night in Columbus and head back to NY/NJ around 9am on Thurs 2/12. The cost of the bus ONLY will be right around $100 per person. We know that many of you will be attending the game, however, will be traveling there via different means and on a different schedule. If you are interested in a NJB Bus trip, please reply here, PM me or email njb@njbrigade.com and let us know your intentions whether you are definitely IN and on board or if you are a maybe. That will help us determine what size vehicle we should be getting.
Looking forward to seeing you cats again, New Jersey. I'm already practicing "wipeout" so I can keep better balance this time around.
Below is the information on how to get on the NJB BUS: We will be renting a charter bus and will be inviting the first 30 people who sign up, to join us on the trip. The cost of the trip will be $150 and will include a ticket ($50 value) to the game in the USSupporters section. We will have two pick ups - one in midtown NYC and one in NJ off Rt 80. We will be staying overnight in Columbus, so we have secured a Group Rate with the Comfort Inn North in Columbus, 6 miles from CrewStadium. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED to call them at (614) 885-4284 and reserve your own room. The Group Rate will be $54.99 and you will need to give them our group code. For payment information, pick-up locations, complete itinerary OR if you would just like to DONATE to help support the cause, please click here: http://www.njbrigade.com/us_mex.html You won't want to miss this trip. This will be THE Game of the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me or email us at njb@njbrigade.com
And, more appropriately, does it unlock from the outside? Ahem. The NYC/NJ non-bus list has about 30 on it as well, so there will be ~ 60 people from either side of the hudson that I/we know about.
This was sent out to everyone on the NJB mailing list. If you are not on it, but looking to pay for the trip to Mexico. Here is where we will be this Saturday.
