I think I'm going to make a trip down to Arlington, and the Arsenal America banner may have come with me....
Hornby will be a guest on Air America's Morning Sedition Monday morning (6-9 AM): http://shows.airamericaradio.com/ms/ Co-host Mark Riley is an Arsenal fan.
Especially since Mark Riley (one of the hosts of Morning Sedition) is a massive Gooner. I know only because when they were first on the air, I'd give him crap for it on their little messageboards.
Informing me of Nick Hornby's up coming book tour is the most useful thing I've ever gotten from the Arsenal forum. Thank you boys!! Oh...and Teddy Sheringham.
NOOOOOOO!!! That was tonight and I was working. Damn. Sheringham, Sheringham, Sheringham. I was really looking forward to that game.
Please tell me somebody is taking some pics. I was planning on going but I'm sick as a dog now and almost certainly going to miss it. Damn evil houseguests and their virulent germs!
Bet they were kids. I hate kids. That's why I don't want any of my own. All they is/are: 1) Breed disease, which will eventually kill off the human race 2) Suck all the money of their parents 3) Suck all the life out of their (now) poor parents 4) Watch terrible television 5) Promote the existence of terrible Japanese cartoons In short...kids suck. Were your houseguests kids?
Nope. Both adults in their early 20s. My wife's half-sister and her boyfriend came to visit for a week. They got sick, then my wife, and now me. Bad timing. BTW, kids are cool despite all of them being little typhoid Marys. Only way I can tolerate my trips to El Paso is because I get to play with my niece and nephews. It was an odd visit. Neither of them had been very far outside of Middle of Nowhere, Texas. My wife took them to see the Atlantic Ocean and then up to New York before hitting Philly on the way back for some steak sandwiches. When they got back they were really sick and hung out at my house for the last couple of days of their trip. They spent that time coughing and touching everything (well that was how it seemed) so I knew it didn't look good for my dodgy immune system (which only a bubble boy would trade for). Oh well. Would have been cool to get Hornby to sign my book and see him sign the banner. Have fun all you lucky gooners.
Nick Hornby in Colorado According to Westword, Nick Hornby will be at the Boulder Book Store (1107 Pearl St, 303-447-2074) where he will read from and sign copies of his new book (and Fever Pitch, I'm assuming). This is Monday the 13th at 7:30pm.
I keep checking the website (http://www.penguinputnam.com/nf/Eve...ventType=&sortType=date&imgFlag=Y&coreSetId=0) to see if he is coming to Dallas area but so far he is not....but there is still hope.
I'll take some pics at the LA signing a week from Saturday at Book soup in LA. Hopefully there will be many other fellow Gooners there as well.

in order to get an autograph do you have to purchase the books there or can you bring in copies? is there a limit per person?
has anyone found a site with all of the book tour dates? I have just found June. I did start on his new book today, and it is great! Very witty!
