Mexican fans as disruptive, disrespectful and noisy during the Panama national anthem as for the US anthem. Completely classless in every situation. I did notice only about 20% of the folks gave a damn about the Mexican anthem either. I guess it shows that it is a small percentage of Mexican fans who are the problem, which is encouraging.

They are the most classless rif raf I've ever seen. They were trying to pick fights with everybody dressed in Honduran gear. I almost went "temoc" a couple of times, but cooled down. I decided that the only way I was going to throw down would be if any beer got thrown on me which thank God didn't happen b/c I would have gotten my ass kicked!

The anthem situation happens practically everywhere: in South America, it is a commonplace sight to have your anthem booed if you're the away team. Personally, I do not agree with it (I never boo anyone's anthem) but it is something so common already...

I think it is deplorable, it should never happen and show lack of culture, respect and education.

This is true, but it is extremely disrespectful, arrogant, and childish. This particular sort of behavior really is sad.

I agree with you 200%, but realistically it happens in every Latin American country (or in any country south of the US). What measures could you try to implement to avoid this, really?

Only way to get to them is by TV have sportscasters, and comercials showing and telling people how to act during these events.

is there something im missing, is the horn a special indiginous thing. its so annoying if i ever go to match i will fight those near me that use that. all you need is a huge drum, a couple of trumpets and screaming fans, basics of barra brava not a plastic blue horn.

    Well to defend Mexico..

I was at the US game in Feb, Every Mexican around me was respecting the US National anthem. Mexicans were actually singing it.

it was actually something that amazed me. because little mexican kids were singing the US anthem while their parents smiled at them and looked very proud.

The mexican anthem went first and everybody kept standing and took off their hats. When the USNA was over, every mexican was cheering..

Maybe it's never like this, but on that day in phoenx, It was all about respect for the US...

Side note - Do some Mexican American families root for both teams?

Ware you even at the stadium because there were not many Mexicans when the US national anthem went on around 6:30. There ware more Hondurians than Mexicans because the game Mexico vs. Panama started at 9 pm. I did not hear any booing to the Panama national anthem.

Typical Mexican NT supporter, wanting palm off their bullshit on another group of people. I was at the game and the only people I saw whistling and being disrespectful were all wearing Green and Red. Sound like a Honduran to anybody?

It is amazing to me that the only classless soccer fans are born in Mexico. I haven't seen any posts complaining about other National Team supporters so far, I find that odd.

I was at the game last Wed. and did not have a problem with anyone. but a Honduran found it cute to say in the toilet this: "pinches Mexicanitos, los vamos a chingar otra vez" You know what the response was by the 200 or so green shirted fans was to this. he was lucky to get escorted out of the rest room by some Mexican fans because he was the only Honduran in there at the time. This just so you'll know that there are shitheads everywhere and from every place in this world.

As far as the Anthems: The Anthem from Panama was played after the Mexican Anthem. so what to you might be "booing", to me was the normal celebration that takes place after they play the Mexican Anthem, and you could see even Panameneans not paying attention to their own anthem because you couldn't hear both very well. I even saw people from Panama jumping and yelling while they were playing thier anthem.

I would rather the people that look for a fault in anything that Mexicans fans do, come out and show their true colors. that they are nothing but Mexican haters, plain and simple. like this thread starter.

    Is Mexico playing at subpar......yes.
    Is Concacaf soccer getting better......yes.

WTF does that have to do with the price of tee in China??
Why mix your own bias into a sports event??

this thread has ethnic conflict written all over it.
Look guys, there's always gonna be some type of crap happening at every game whether we like it or not. The US MEX rivalry is between two neighbors that have a long history of political (both realist and liberal) conflict. If you don't know the history, then you obviously don't know why Mexicans do what they do, but you don't need to know really. Just know that it's a bunch of rival fans trying to tease each other, so that one won't enjoy the game.
