From September until December, when Cagliari was on a 13 game unbeaten streak, Rolando Maran was hailed a hero.

He went from King to Goat in a hurry...

They are stupid. That team just hit an amazing form. They are pretty much safe from going down to Serie B. What did they want? Champs league qualification?

They kept talking about the 50 year anniversary since they won their only scudetto with Gigi Riva and how they had to celebrate this season.

    So much for that...

Next coach is Fabio Liverani, U.S. Lecce. The weakest defence. Next opponent is Milan, I don't see some major space against Milan. 3-0 at least for Milan.

Yeah I thought Liverani pulled out some great performances but they were too few and far between. I hope he stays and he saves Lecce as they are currently the only team south of Naples.

    Italy needs more southern teams!

If he ends up safe and if and when Simone Inzaghi leaves Lazio, I’m betting Claudio Lotito gives the job to him.

Players usually get the instructions from the management so that they start to boycott their coach. Easy way to remove the coach for the management. So, players start to lose heavy. Goal difference of Lecce is 2-11 in only two matches. But they won against Napoli and Torino before few weeks. It sounds strange. Liverani has some credit because he was a good central player. But we don't see many great coaches after solid football careers. Not sure is Juventus focused on Serie A or on the Champions League more. Inter is losing points intentionally, again their draws occurred before few weeks. Draws against Cagliari and Lecce recently. Six defeats of Torino in a row was also unusual. So, Lazio or Juventus are the winners of Serie A. Simone Inzaghi and Fabio Liverani are both "children" of Lazio. Bigger clubs usually don't forget their ex players. They can't remove Inzaghi, unless if he has some bigger offers from abroad. The result of Lazio is very good, even if they end second.

You won't see much of Southern teams. The money is in the North. I don't see much of care about the South in general. I am surprised that no one helps to Venezia, so that they become greater impact. During Alvaro Recoba, Fabio Bilica, Filippo Maniero, Christian Vieri, Maurizio Ganz, Venezia was solid. I see the connection of Inter, AC Milan and Venezia from that period. Players of Inter, Milan played in Venezia. Only Napoli can do more from South. They destroyed Reggina, Palermo, Messina, Trapani. Crotone, Benevento, Salernitana might enter in Serie A. But they can't do much.

Frosinone is first in Serie B, Lazio will win Serie A. Same quarter.:whistling: It's all about the influence.

Sarri is trash. No one wants to hear anything about Sarri right now. You can critique the decision to bring on Pirlo all you like, but there was no upside to keeping Sarri. He did nothing to make this side better.

Calm down. I used the greater than sign by accident. I was actually going to use a slash or dash as in succession but it’s 4am in California so I made a mistake and sadly it’s too late to re-edit and change it.....

If it means that much though, here you go....

    PIRLO for SARRI.....

    Carrying on........
