Which players should be the first ones to be edged out of the league by the next influx of talent (ie, next season)? This includes players who, embarrassingly, were still of high enough quality to start and/or contribute effectively in MLS this year. My list (in no particular order): Bobby Rhine Wes Hart Dario Fabbro Alex Pineda Chacon Brian West Dema Kovalenko Hristo Stoichkov Jaime Moreno (I hate to say it, I've always liked him) Joseph Addo Jason Moore Who would be on your list? alansl
Wow....I think these two would be welcome on any MLS team, I certainly don't see them as A-League bound. Also Hristo would retire before accepting A-League caliber play/money. I can't say I follow the other teams to make judgement on their players over a season, but from the Fire......well, I don't know. I'd say Futagaki or Dipsy would be the ones, but I don't think they were brought in to contribute right away. Kind of says something about Peter Wilt as GM when I have problem finding someone who doesn't play a role on the team....
Please send all "rookie goal scorers" who need more playing time, or old dudes on the way out who still have "occasional flashes of scoring brilliance" to: Seattle Sounders Soccer Club Seahawks Stadium Seattle WA A-League Proud We promise to get them ready for MLS and return them at the end of 2004. http://SounderCentral.com
