Molde fullback Knut Olav Rindaroy has turned down a move to Everton.

The highly-rated full-back spent time training with both Everton and Manchester United earlier this month.

The 24-year-old now claims that he has turned down a number of offers, including David Moyes' Everton - who he says could not afford him.

The Norway left-back is now waiting until the end of his new deal, which runs to 2011.

"I got really good positive feedback but there will be no transfer this window. Everton didn't have the money to buy me, and I really need to be awarded time on the pitch," Rindaroy told VG.

"There has been a large interest from other clubs I don't wish to name, but I have decided to turn them down.

"It is Molde that have made me where I am today and they are entitled to get something back.

"That's why I signed a new one year contract in order to secure money for them if I am to be bought this summer."
