What's worse, the Pink Cows selling out, or the Rhinos' crest? :p

Could be worse. They could still be the Raging Rhinos.

The Raging Rhinos' name is a GOLD in comparison to Red Bull.

i'm excited to have a second division team in the NY area, but the crest looks like something a 4th grader made on MSpaint. i mean seriously, they couldn't have spent more than 15 minutes designing this abomination.

also, it's not even in NYC, so how does this help everyone who was bitching about RBNY being too far from the city?

do you drive that car in the avatar? if no, then i will say the crest is much better without a corporate logo on it (eg. redbull) and their plans do not include hofstra in the long run, they will play in the city also

if you DO drive that car in your avatar..then you are just a corporate lackey who is just stirring the pot in our boards..not very mature

The will move sooner to NYC than RedBull will.........
    oh that's right...RedBull won't ever...
so we're looking at a SSS in Queens by 2011...
how long did it take yours to be built?

secondly, a retarded 3rd grader could have made our logo and it would still be better than RedBulls. At least ours has something to do with soccer.

So lemme get this straight, you guys are all excited now because you have a "New York City" minor league soccer team that will play three times (literally) farther away from Manhattan than the Red Bulls will in Harrison?

    Right. Got it. Carry on.

/that being said. I understand the frustration of Brooklyn/Queens soccer fans of not being able to get to Giants Stadium at all, and the three or so subway trains you'll have to take to get to Harrison (you take the A,C, or E to the WTC, then the red line to Harrison). But hey, now you know how all of us Met fans in New Jersey feel.

So what, let'em play in Hofstra for a year. They are looking to build a SSS within Queens and it takes some team. Either way they know they have a ticking time bomb and they need to resolve this problem right away.

you're right!!..it only took 15 years!..good job kids...you've managed to alienate the entire soccer loving population since MLS's inception.
Bravo. I reallllllllly hope you guys sell out RBA arena next year. If not,
    you've got no more excuses.

And we don't know about Icahn or Baker. Hofstra is their easiest option. One thing that we have that RB doesn't....supporter input.

It is kind of funny that the team that's meant to be the "real" New York City team will be playing its first season, literally, a mile or two from Hicksville.

Still easier to get to than Giants Stadium, though. I wonder if that site near Aqueduct is the same one the Metros were "looking at" for three or four years.

If they used the Queens Flag as inspiration for that cheap looking badge, then I would assume that they darn well intend to eventually be in Queens.

If not, then that would take bigger stones than the Redbulls calling themselves NY.

I really do wish this team the best, but any plans to build a stadium, even a small one, in NYC must be considered very tentative at best.

Aqueduct is a good site as it's on a subway line and a highway. Do these owners really have the cash to build a stadium, though?

I don't really think Red Bull should be called New York. They don't even play in New York STATE.

Might want to let the NY Giants know that they need remedial geography as well.

I wish the Press Release had some background on these owners. You know they must not have much dough if the release didn't list the companies they owned/operate.

I want this to work, but damn it looks second rate from the get-go.
