Listening to world soccer daily today Steven cohen announced that there will eb some new programs coming to Sirius. One of them is a program called Liverpool Hour, hosted by Keith Costigan, the other one is Man. U. Hour. they are also putting together a Fantasy show that will air on Fridays.
He mentione the Liverpool program will probably be starting around 9/26. I have no info on the other two. This is an excellent sign that sirius is serious about soccer and they are not using it as a fill-in until the NBA starts.

Any word on the merger between XM & Sirius, and if said programs will be part of the merger?

Considering that they've had EPL for a few years now, i'd say soccer on Sirius never was considered to be filler. They know there's a demand for this programming.

Regarding the merger, i'd guess that it would be made available XM somehow.
