In response to the NFL's new crackdown on hard hits: "You take all the contact away, guess what you are... you're soccer." - Mark Schlereth http://content.usatoday.com/communi...ue-with-unfair-punishment-of-james-harrison/1 Apparently he has never heard of Nigel De Jong or Roy Keane. MLS has its thugs too... see Cam Weaver's hit on Jon Busch last weekend:
A snarky sentence (and a poorly-delivered one) makes the guy a full-up soccer hater? And people continue to be indignant that SoccerFan gets mocked by the likes of Jim Rome.
Was just about to say that about De Jong or that crazy tackle that broke Eduardo's leg in half. Forgot who that was. Whatever. If that's what Schlereth thinks about soccer, fine, he's missing out. We don't need to waste our time with bigots.
if i was fat and i had to compete in life with cristiano ronaldos, i will hate soccer with a passion too send that fat bastard a picture of ronaldo in speedo hahaha i will pay to see his reaction.
I don't get why people get their panties in a wad over one person expressing a dislike of soccer. It's the most popular sport in the world. You can fit an entire ocean between soccer's popularity and whatever the n°2 sport is. Yet people go into soccer-mom ultra protective mode whenever some idiot goes off into an anti-soccer rant. The fact is that soccer has already won, people. A long time ago. Roger Goodell would give up a testicle to ever see the NFL having a quarter of the global appeal of soccer. Enjoy your victory and let the mice roar all they want.
I have a specific dislike for this guy, though. During the World Cup, he starting posting multiple tweets about how much the whole thing sucked. When some started telling him why he didn't just keep his mouth shut about the whole thing if he didn't like it, he said he hated it so much he felt it was his responsibility to mouth off about it.
I have no problem with those people not liking soccer and expressing their opinion. That's their right. This is America, after all. However, why do they have to be so narrow-minded and asshole-ish about it? That's what I don't get.
You realize that fat guy is stronger than you could ever hope to be and that he's probably a better sprinter, too? Also, 6'3, 287lbs ain't that fat. Especially when it's mostly muscle.
Stronger, yes. Better sprinter than the poster, yes. Better sprinter than CRon? Don't be silly. ...as much as AguiluchoMerengue's posts are complete insecure rubbish...
Wasn't try to say he was faster than Ronaldo (or stronger for that matter), just that he was faster and stronger than AguiluchoMerengue could ever dream of being.
other than watching some college football, i have nothing in common with fat people, never been fat, never will, and yes i dont like fat people either, they are lazy people who eat like pigs. conclusion: fat people need to accept the fact that soccer players are better athletes, have a healthier life, are more active, excercise more, have a better social life, have a better attitud. yes i have not respect for any fat guy that would critize soccer. please if you are a soccer hater, make sure you have ripped abs, if not get ready to get picked on by cristiano ronaldos.
being fat is your choice, and being a soccer hater as well. if you are fat and happy, good for you, if you hate on soccer then suck it up fatty.
That may be true for some people. For others, it's not. Only soccer hating fatties get ridicule now? Are you changing your rules on the fly? I thought being fat was an offense to your sensibilities.
LeBron James is listed at 250 (I actually think it's more). Dwight Howard is listed at 265. Yao Ming is listed at 310.
I have to defend Mr Schlereth. I dont think he was dissing soccer so much but in a way he was telling the facts, I mean the NFl you have to be tough, you gotta be strong, nFL is no joke. Soccer doesnt have to colisions that the NFL or College football does. yeah i guess he picked at soccer, but he made a legitimate point.
